What no thread for the 16 year old Karolina Pliskova?

Karolina got a WC for Prague and has made the QF

R1 def Molik 6-4 6-4
R2 def Kanepi (8) 1-6 6-3 7-5

Edie: Thread for both Karolina & Krystina:D

Karo needs to win Moscow and Penneta and Carla have to lose early in order for Karo to qualify. But i was thinking is it worth it? She is going to be exhausted for Singapore and she really needs a week off. I kinda prefer for her to play in Zhuhai cause she gets a week of rest.

Her toughest opponent is Angie in the QF's, if she gets through her then she can win it but i don't know. She played horrible against Aga.

Ponytaillina :)hearts:) up 6-4 on Dulgheru :bounce: Does she know that she has to chance whatsoever to qualify for Singapore now though? :sobbing: (at least that's what I read in GM?) Hope she isn't playing without knowing that it won't chance the outcome regarding Singapore...

Yeah, me too... :( Hopefully she has some good runs in these year-end IH tournies yeah, normally she is pretty comfy in these conditions :awww:

Karo eventually beat Alexandra, 6-4 5-7 7-6(7)

She came back from *2-5 to 5 all in the 2nd set, but flopped the next 2 games away... Then she choked a *4-1 lead in the 3rd  She was *4-6 down in the final TB :scared:  Luckily for her, Alex was nervy and DFed on MO2...

She is looking so washed out... I guess that she's playing because she still believes she can make Singapore. But she looked like she didn't care that much about winning this match, so she must be REALLY burnt out? :sobbing:

That was a mess and that court is so slow. She has to work so hard to win and if she gets to Singapore by winning this, she's going to be dead tired. I don't think she's gonna win, she should of skipped this week and just go to Zhuhai. It's not worth it, i don't want her to be an alternate either cause she would have to travel and that's tiring too, and if she gets in with a withdrawal, she doesn't even have a chance to get into the semis. That's what happened last year in Sofia and she just gave the match to Flavia, she didn't care.

And Xanaxolina's Singapore dream was officially (officially, because nobody really believed she'd win the tournament anyways given her current form :sobbing:) ended by (Q)Anastasija Sevastova, who beat her 6-3 7-6(10).

She had a few SPs in the 2nd set, including 1 (or 2?) on her serve in the TB, but I'm actually pretty relieved she lost, because she was starting to look scary. Like she was sleepwalking. :tears: No way she could have won this tournament anyways given how exhausted she is looking out there... She looked truely upset though, destroyed her racket after she failed to save the ultimate MP... :sobbing:

That's a lesson though: she'll need to schedule like a top player now if she wants not to completely burn out and fade away with exhaustion in the last part of the year, when the race to Singapore becomes extremely tough. :awww:

In other news Krystina won her 2r match against E. Salas 6-3 6-2. She should of played more itf events these year, she was trying so hard to get into the wta but she wasn't ready. She really does well on ITF's, but she needs points cause she has a lot to defend early next year and i don't want to see her falling out of the top 200. :(

Kris is through to the final as she just beat (3)Pauline Parmentier 7-6(6) 7-6(10) in SF :oh: :D

Very unclutch today though... She missed sth like 4 SPs for 7-5 in the first, which would have spared her from a tricky TB; and in the 2nd she managed to get to another TB from *2-5 down, went 6-1* up in the TB but lost the next 6 points and had to save a couple SPs... :tape: :scared:
Well a least she did it! :tears: :yeah:

Interesting final against 17 yo Ukrainian talented leftie Olga Fridman (a former junior #12, who was at a CHR of 420 last week), who's on a winning streak of 7 matches as she's coming from the qualies, and who thrashed her 2 previous opponents (Pera in QF and 6th seed Foretz in SF) in less than an hour... :bounce:

Kris lost in the final against Olga today, 2-6 6-3 1-6

She did a nice job to come back in the match from 2-6 *0-2 down, not too sure of what happened in the 3rd though... :-/ However losing to Olga who is really talented and has been gettng some very nice wins recently is no shame to me. ;)

Next stop for Kris:

[1]Niculescu-Torro-Flor
Dodin-Kr.Pliskova
Kalinina-[WC]Coin
Zanevska-[8]Bertens

The kinda match involving 2 players so unpredictable you have no clue for any prediction... Whoever wins will probably get thrashed by Junkulescu in R2 though :sobbing:
