Monday Report

Well, first day in the tourney for 6 year in a row. A lot of people waiting for the official presentation of the tourney. Arantxa is the new director and Madrid´s major and more authorities come with her. Firstable we can see Tina (ASV dog) running around and then, ASV with a white suit. Begin the presentation and the president of one of the sponsors make a mistake calling Conchita to ASV Everybody laugh, and continue the meeting.

I see Conchi with her personal/fitness trainer and go to see them on practice courts. There is Conchi playing with Patricia Tarabini, and Caroline Vis speaking with Dana (Conchi´s fitness trainer ) They train for 45 minutes, and then they take a rest. While she is practising i take a million of Conchi photos
I go then to see Iroda playing with Flavia Penetta in central court. Iroda was playing very very very bad, but she won cause Flavia wasnt good enough to beat Iroda. Next match is Babsi Schett with Rita Grande. Basbsi was playing so good but Rita was making many errors. Babsi made a great match hitting hard every ball, and making 7 errors in all match (i think, i didnt count!!! ) Follow match, was Maria Antonia with Nicole Pratt. Pratt was making one hundred of unforced errors and MA was playing good so she got 1st set. In 2nd, Pratt was 3/1 down and recovered from the break, could get 2nd set. In 3rd, all was tied till the break in 4-all. MA won playing good and suffering in court.

Van Harpen was coaching Gagliardi, IN SPANISH!!!!, in her doubles match with Pato. It was surprising!!

Alexandra Stevenson had great problems with the kids.... lol!!! It was so funny!!! I was eating with friends when we saw Alexandra comming and 1 million of kids running behind her asking for an autograph. Alexandra stopped, and she was girded by all kids... Then, she had an idea, she was to the tournament office and in the door, she made a queue with the kids!!! She was very organizated!!!! All kids was running asking for autographs to everybody who was with a raquet in their hands!!! It has been soooo funny!!!!

Sorry about my english, ive tried to be correct

More tomorrow!!!!

ANYWAY, CONCHI RULES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the report. Have fun tomorrow watching Conchi!

SERENA WILLIAMS: I played her three times and twice we went to three sets, so it's definitely no easy way of playing Conchita Martinez, especially on clay. She's a clay court specialist, and you know, she's a Grand Slam champion. You can never take that lightly.... I think I had a very tough match my second round myself in this event because Conchita Martinez is a very good player, so that was definitely a tough match...
