Yes, Justine is such a great player!. How many grandslams has she won again?. Stop dreaming dreamers. It was nice of Serena to give the little girl a gift. That's exactly what it was, a gift. So all you haters have your laughs for now, Serena ain't Santa and this ain't the season to be jolly so there won't be too many more gifts. Clearly Justine is the better player. Serena is set to go down in history as one of the greatest players ever. In the end SHE'LL have the last laugh. You guys know it and you hate it, don't you. Too bad.

So what is the point of this topic? That if anybody defeats Serena it's credited to all of players on the entire WTA tour? So it's Serena versus the WTA? Why does she need to lose in order for the other players to gain confidence? That is not her responsibility. The fact that she is so dominant and such a good player should garner a little more respect for her. It's not her fault that she is just better than the other players. Nor is it arrogant for her to say so when it is true. What cowards to sit back and revale in the defeat of a player as if you your self did any work. The WTA tour is full of losers who know THEY will never be champions so they want to see others, who will, be defeated simply because their jealous. It's one thing to cheer for a favorite, but to wish defeat on another who has proved herself, is talented, and talks about no one ( even when they say mean things about her) so that the tour may thrive is . A lot of you sound like that guy who stabbed Monica just so, HIS favorite, Steffi's career could thrive. Since when are talented players bad for a sport? . She shouldn't have to lose so that the other weaklings may have confidence. Let them find their own; she had to. Just what do some of you have against her? Please, I'd like to know. What makes the other players, who trash her, soooo great? Any time someone else makes a statement about how they want to be the best you cheer for them. Just because she is good is she supposed to say "I'm not".

Actually Serena was the one who choked. She was up a break in both sets. Everyone already knew Serena wouldnt go undefeated so i dont see the point of this either. Its not like everyones mission on the WTA is to beat Serena.

As a Serena fan, I was shocked by her loss. However, personally, i thought her comments that basically said that she beat herself was rude and unsportsmanlike. Justine played well and "mixed it up", putting pressure on Serena. She deserved the win. I like Serena, and kinduv wanted to see her go undefeated as it would be cool, but you have to admit this does add some flavour to the women's game, as it shows that someone CAN beat the williams' sisters rather than one of the williams beating a 7th seed 6-2 6-2. I think that we need not cheer a serena loss ,but rather look at what type of play was needed to beat serena or Venus. Congrats Justine, you played well. Sorry Serena, it wasnt ur best out there, but im sure u will have MANY more titles after this.
