Can Lindsay be number 1 again and/or win a GS?

I know this topic is in the general messages;but I
rather have it discussed among LD supporters who
are familiar with her career. I suspect the majority of
the so called posters in this forum only followed tennis
as far back as 1999.

I feel that LD can be number 1 or win a grand slam.
Despite the injury or whatever her current head to head
are with the so called new top 10 is this week. LD's
tennis skills are far superior to the others in one very
obvious way- she isn't a sloppy player on her best days.
How low are those DF and UE numbers when LD is on
her best? LD is a far clean striker of the ball then the
rest. There's no useless or ugly dangly arms or motion
in the LD playing style.

Fact number 2. Jen,Serena , Venus and the Belgians
are on top now;but they've spent way too much mental effort
to be there. I think they will feel the stress and drop alot of
close matches. Remember the majority of the mental battle isn't
really on court. No. It's the pressure to sustain your greatness off
court and when not playing matches. I just have a a feeling
that LD's brief time away from the tour will refresh her, while
others feel the responsibility.

Well I first say Lindsay play at Eastbourne in 1996 before she had won anything big and before she lost her weight. She certainly did transform herself.

I think she can win more than one more grand slam if she comes back fully fit and raring to go. Not this year though. I also think she can be No 1 again, but again not this year. She needs to get back into the action this year and consolidate next season. Who knows what new glory she could go on to.

GO GO GO LINDSAY

Being number ONE I think is the least priority of Lindsay now.
I think what she wants is to win majors again. She already proved that she can be as consistent as ever winning tournaments after tournaments and be number ONE.

Come on Lindsay, Win Wimbledon and US Open this year and French next year is really fine!!!!!!!!!!!
