Fave tennis player/s (other than Lindsay )?
Some of them are in my current sig below; Daniilidou, Black, Molik, Myskina, Likhovtseva, Baltacha, Jankovic, Sprem, Capriati, Serena.....Monica, Hingis
....loads more that I just enjoy watching play even though they aren't my faves like henin-Hardenne, Kim when she's not playing Lindsay
Kelly Clarkson, Delta Goodrem (first Album more so), Brandy, Christina (not all her songs though), Lucie Silvas, Katie Melua....Eternal were my fave group growing up! Some of my all time fave songs are: Bananarama - Love in the First Degree, Peter Cetera - Glory of Love, John Fahnham - "You're the Voice" ....though I don't know any other's of his
......and probably some others, but you probably get an idea of which decade I was born in
I don't have one particular favourite but I love the "based on a true story" dramas like Remember the Titans, Rookie, Coach Carter, as well as some fun films from my EARLY childhood like Breakin' 1 & 2 (which inspired me to take up dancing....so now I like a lot of dance films even though the storyline might be a bit cheesy
), I love Sister Act 1 & 2. Also "Adventures in Babysitting" which I think in the USA was called "A Night on the Town". I don't particularly like Disney Cartoons, but I love the real people disney films and ones like Mary Poppins, Bednobs and Broomsticks and Pete's Dragon which were part real actors/part cartoon. I love Pixar stuff like Incredibles, Nemo...and Shrek (even though it was Dream Works)....etc.
Currently I live with my mum, dad, sister and 3 cats. Sister will be getting married 3 weeks today which means I get to get rid of her once and for all!
Only part of the deal is I have to wear a bridesmaid dress!!!
(yes, I am female - don't let me username deceive you)
Mum's a nurse (as is sister now) and Dad took a very early retirement because of his disability - so he's been a bit of a house dad for a number of years....couldn't have done without him
Outside of my household, we have a pretty medium/big tigh-nit family. Have a Grandfather and Uncle who live just 50 yards away from where I live, and Uncle, Aunty and 3 cousins and in another house an Uncle, Aunty and one cousin about half a mile up the road....we live very close together....which is sometimes a pain because I get my little cousins coming down alot...."Racheeeell, can you do such and such a thing...?", "can you help me with this?"...."Can I have a drink", "can I play on your playstation?" - NO!
Something about where I live:
I live in a City called Stoke-on-Trent which is about Half way between Birmingham and Manchester. So, if you have an atlas, Find Birmingham, find Manchester and put a black dot half way between them, and that's where I am.
It's a fairly big city, one of the only main cities without an airport in the UK. Stoke-on-Trent was once famed for the potteries industry, hence it's nick name "The potteries" although it's almost none existant now
All the main Pottery companies were based here; Doutons, Wedgwood, Spode and Minton.....I think the main Wedgwood base is still in Stoke though
Other than the city as a whole, the place I live is like a village....several housing estates, a few little shops and a couple of pubs. I guess you would call it a suburb maybe. It's very quite and my house is right next to a large field where I spent many a childhood summer playing rounders (that is the UK equivalent of Baseball/softball).
The main thing i love about Stoke-on-Trent (though most people who love here, hate it) is that you can drive for 10/15 mins in any direction and then you're in the countryside. The other great thing is that because Stoke is situated in the very heart of the UK, I'm just a 1hr drive/trainride away from Birmingham or Manchester....and just 2.5 hrs away from London (by train - providing they're on time
Thats about it for me...hope i didn't bore you!?
