Something about Lindsay's tactics

Have you guys noticed that Lindsay always chooses to receive even
she wins the toss?I think it may be feasible against lesser opponent,
but in a grand slam final, when your opponent is serving to stay in the match,
Serving first can definitely put a lot pressure on your opponent.

lol yeah shes always done that - probs cos the other person will be more nervous/crap in the first couple of games - so its easier to break/get into the swing of the match.

You know, Justine prefers to receive 1st too. She always chooses to receive (well, there were just a couple exeptions).
I always thought she does that to found some rhythm before serving.

She wants to get the early break, and I think in certain situations it isn't appropriate.

I thought it was an odd tactic myself I thought Venus had won the toss but it must have had something to do with a pervious match she had played against her. She has always done that though.

I read somewhere before that she chooses to receive first most of the time because she wants to warm up or get more of a feel for he match first before serving, or something to that effect.

It's not shyness I have. It's just that I'm not one of those people who loves to open a newspaper of magazine and see myself all the time. I don't like that at all. I prefer to play my tennis which I love, and with which I've been blessed.
