I gotta have knee surgery :(

yeah for those of you who dont know, i dislocated my knee about 18 months ago. and basically its not right. when i work or play sport, it swells and i end up limping, it clicks and bruises easily. I cant do what i used to and it gets really painful.
The physio and doc referred me back to the hospital for an xray/mri. They found the prob in the xray. when my patella dislocated it scraped past my knee cap bone thing!!! and took a bit of the edge with it. so there its all jagged and sharp and its rubbing against something (cant remember what). so if i dont do anything it wont get better!

Theyre gonna go into my knee with a camera and file it all down and have a look to see if theres any bits of bone floating around in my knee.

GOOD thing is i have private health care so i can choose when i want it. lol ive chosen to have it 2 days after wimbledon!!! my mums gone mad at not getting my priorities right (ie chosing wimbledon over my knee surgery). But i was like 'ITS LINDSAYS LAST YEAR. Ive been looking forward to that for so long! im GOING!!!' lol il be pestering her (if i can) or adam about her knee surgery cos il be cacking myself then!!!!

Say what you like about Davenport, but shes achieved what most others could only dream of!

lol about Lindsay's thing! Not so much about your knee it really gets me when these things happen. I trully want you to get your knee back right. So go get that surgery done right and most importantly you HAVE to rehab very well. That is one of the most important things... recovering the muscles and stuff around your knee.
So for about now, enjoy WIMBLEDON (consider yourself lucky, I would DIE to go and watch Lindsay play in Wimbledon) and then get things right!

Good luck

You'll be fine. I have had that type of surgery a few years back as I have soft cartlidge. Providing that it goes to plan, you should be back walking fine within 2 weeks. I would probably been the same choosing Wimbledon over surgery if I had the choice lol.

In the world you are just 1 person, but to 1 person you are the world

Thumbs up

Hope all goes well with the knee surgery. I can quite understand you wanting to go to Wimby first! I am hoping to see Lindsay at Wimby, too but knowing my luck, I probably won't as my tickets are for Court One. Never mind must not complain its just great to be going.

Good Luck!!
