Lindsay - Underachieved in her career?

Hey guys I love lindsay to pieces...she's a true inspiration to my game and to me as alot of other people too.

But i would just like to hear your views on whether you think Lindsay as a player has underacieved in many tournies and especially Grand Slams??

Do You think lindssay should have had maybe 6 or 7 grand slams as opposed to the 3 she already has??

i think she has done ok.....the last time she got to slam finals was when the williams emerged as unbeatables...she has lost to the evential winner a number of times,kuzzy,rena,shara-screamer,henin,j-cap.venus. if you think what she has acompished in her career considering that she was told she would never be good enough is amazing. to have 2 serious injurys that both required surgury and to still be number 1 in the world..........no matter what anyone says is amazing. yeah she could have won more slams but hell if id have started playing tennis at 6 and was good enough i could have won slam...lindsay has had to work very hard on all her game more so than others...i hate to say it but people like serena are not like 'normal' people they are just superior in some un natural way lol. im happy with what lindsay has achieved and hope she adds to it this year.

completely agree....she has had one of the most consistent careers ever.....and played alot of tournies (when injury free), i do feel though a couple od GS's did get away from her, and that 3 gs titles doesnt do her justice some time.....she is an incredible player.

no she hasnt underachieved.

3 grand slam titles, an olympic gold medal and a load of tier I and II's is fantastic for a player whos:

-had major weight issues which affected confience and ability to play well because of parents divorce
-has degenerating cartilage and had a nasty knee operation to rectify it and is still troubled by it now
- has had other operations
-is plagued by injuries

AND comes back from all this to be in GS finals and world no1
i admire this girl so much!
-isnt a great mover

LINDSAY DAVENPORT!
Say what you like about Davenport, but shes achieved what most others could only dream of!

Jelena Jankovic
Mary Pierce MARTINA HINGIS! Kim Clijsters Ana Ivanovic
