Well, I'm not someone who likes swearing.....so I don't get excited when Lindsay does But I do giggle to myself when she goes of on one and starts kicking off!

Like the whole line call insident during her semi, and how she placed a ball on the spot - the crown loved that!

The one that sticks in my mind and I say it eveytime there's a thread like this....and that's the Wimby dubs final in 1999 when Lindsay declares she heard a let cord and the umpire didn't call it. Lindsay insisted that the let cord monitor wasn't working and that the umpire should send for an official to call the let cords.

It ended in Lindsay whacking the net with her racket to prove that the monitor wasn't working and so the umpire sent for an official to call the lets.

The other one was YEC semi final vs Clijsters back in.....um...2000? It was whichever year Serena won via walkover. Anyway, there was a crucial point in that semi, where a ball was clearly out and should have been Lindsay's point and she was arguing with....I think Anne Lasser-Ulrich....or Sandra Dejenkin (I forget). If that ball was called out, Lindsay would have had set point (or match point....something like that). Lindsay was having a dig, saying "How can you allow that on such aa crucial point!?"......actually, having thought about it, it might have been an overule.....anyway, so when Lindsay won the next point, she went up to the Umpire and said...."That should be my set/match now".

The details are pretty sketchy but I'm sure you get the picture. Classic.

That was in 2001. She was pretty pissed in that match

It's not shyness I have. It's just that I'm not one of those people who loves to open a newspaper of magazine and see myself all the time. I don't like that at all. I prefer to play my tennis which I love, and with which I've been blessed.

The funniest piece of talking for me was last week in her doubles match on Court 7 when she said "That was so embarrassing"

in her match v dechy she got mad at a call she didnt get and kept going on about it in the next game to the ump..saying 'this could have been my set point, i should have won the match if you'd over rule that'... then when she won her service game she got a ball and put it on the mark where she was saw the ball hit (out) it was funny!

It was the match against Clijsters at the 2001 YEC. It was Anne Larserre Uhlrich (trouble follows that woman everywhere!) and after arguiing and bitching at her for a game or two when Lindsay got up after the break at the change of ends she gave Anne's umpire chair a might great crack of her racquet! It was so funny! Anne looked like a bunny caught in the headlights and i think Lindsay probably cornered her in the back after the match! LOL

I don't care for the swearing either Rache! but Linds does amuse me at times with the things she does to prove a point and people do have to let off steam of course

Lindsay in the final against serena at the AO.

It was second set 3-3 and lindsay was 40-15 up. She serves a double fault. Gets another ball and shout 'FUCK' with such intensity, you could actually HEAR her say it!

I'm sure you hear things sometimes....and certainly obsesed with that word! How is it I can watch the very same matches and hear/read her lips saying very different words? hmmm

When you see her saying the "F" word, I am actually seeing her saying, "For goodness sake!".....the two could look very similar when lip reading you know

LOL, I've said "For goodness sake" on many occasions at work, and because the people at work know I don't swear, they are shocked when they think I've said "for F's sake". I'm falsely acused many-a time

I'm the same Jan. When Lindsay goes off on one, I can't help myself but giggle! You don't expect it from her, and compared to everyone else, she doesn't do it very often, but when she does......well, it's side splitingly funny!

Oh, just thought of a funny one. Lindsay was playing Venus Williams in some US hard court final....again, can't quite remember the year.....at a guess I'd say about 2000 (when she faced Venus loads) but it might have been later.

Lindsay hit a serve that was way out, and it was called out. As Lindsay went back to serve her second, Lindsay didn't see but Venus had hit the clearly-out ball right back at Lindsay.......it was only because Venus shouted "watch out" did Lindsay lean her body out the way and gave such a vile look towards Venus. - now that is the funniest thing I ever saw.

I wish I could remember that match - maybe I have it on tape as I have the ones in about 2000. Does anyone else remember that? Could you help identify the match? It was definately something like stanford, LA or san diego......hhhmmmm

That's going to annoy me if I don't find out

bye for now,
-Rache

I remember E-estyle classic 2001 F, vs. Monica, when ending the first set i believe, Lindsay hit an ACE in the T, on the Ad. court. It was called out. That would've been game Davenport, the game went longer than excepected and then again on game point, Lindsay hit an ACE this time on the right corner on the box. 'Game Davenport'. You could read Lindsay's lips saying: "Was THAT out?" and she gave such a nasty look. It made me laugh quite a while-
