I stumbled across this....The Davenport roots

Hi,

I was searching on the internet for something completely un-lindsay related.....I was actually looking for song words for an old ad about Davenports Beer and came across this, thought you might be interested since Lindsay gets a mention.

I know of a Davenport family in Herefordshire. They are big landowners and I once rented a house from them on the estate. He was a Major Davenport and very good looking. I can't remember his chistian name though. I don't know why I have not thought of this before.

Thanks Rache for this thread

LOL, there is a Davenport Street near to where I live too - I've been very temped to stick some masking tape above the word "Davenport" and write Lindsay so it would become "Lindsay Davenport Street" - my dad has offered to get the sign for me if ever see it has fallen off

In fact, I've been tempted to 'tamper' with many local road signs and turn them into Tennis player names and the phenominon might appear in the newspaper. For example, just round the corner from where I live is a "Venus Road" LOL, it would be even funnier if we all started to do it. Perhaps it would make national news. We should do it during Wimbledon

LOL, Kelly - you should make a joke next time she comes in - "you're not thee L.A. Davenport are you!?.....I'm a big fan of yours!"....although it could well freak her out a little!
