And considering I think only Amelie is playing both Montreal and the Olympics she should keep the lead until after the Olympics.
I know they've just brought that in because in 1996 and 2000 it was just the honour of representing your country.
Here's the breakdown for the Olympics:
Olympic Tennis Event
Winner - 248 (Gold Medallist)
Finalist - 174 (Silver Medallist)
SF - 122 (Bronze Medallist)
QF - 94 (4th place)
4R - 62
3R - 34
2R - 20
1R - 1
While Quality Points are the same as normal tournaments.
So even if Amelie won the Olympic Gold Medal against Justine H-H and also won Montreal against the 2nd seed Myskina she would still be trailing Lindsay by just under 100 points.
He he I love what WTA Tour said about Montreal...
One of the missing top 20 will allow the field of 56 to finally breathe a sigh of relief this week, as the scorching-hot Lindsay Davenport has decided to take a break from torturing her fellow WTA Tour players and rest up for the remainder of the hard court season. Davenport has been virtually unstoppable in a three-week run on the Tour, reaching three straight finals and taking a commanding lead in the Porsche Race to the Championships.
