I like Lindsay's draw!

She may have been screwed by the seedings, but it could help her out in the end. She has Mauresmo in the quarters, which is what I was hoping for! And then possibly an ailing Henin-Hardenne in the semis, but you never know about her. Justine has a pretty tough draw early on: Testud in the first round and Loit in the 3rd. Lindsay has a pretty nice path to the quarters. Also Venus and Serena are finally in the same half of the draw! I think this could shape up to be a really fun tournament. GO LINDSAY!!!!

That's actually one of the best draw's I've seen Lindsay get at a GS. She faces headcase in the QF and sickly in the SF. Allez Lindsay!

Hey!!!!!What a nice draw, I agree with you all. But the QF will be pretty hard for Lindsay, just remember that Amelie is theoretically the best clay player, no one beat her on clay... So I just hope that Lindsay will be in a very good shape, she moves better and better, so she's got some chances!!!! Even if I'm french, I'm a Lindsay's fan, and I'll support Lindsay!!!!!!!!!GO LINDSAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

woohoo, Lindsay has a great draw, she should be able to take out MoMo in the qtrs because well she has a huge mental edge over her, and in the semis if Justine was there, it would still be tough, because that probably means Justine is playing fairly well and would have some matches, Lindsay alll the way!

Should be a breeze to round of 16, however, Elena Dementieva did beat Lindsay on faster green clay before, and Tatiana Golovin/Anna Pistolesi grew up on red clay. It takes more than a walk to beat them. So an upset in round of 16 wont be too surprising, though I expect a tough win.

Elena Dementieva's arm is currently falling off, so I don't see any problems there.

But this is Lindsay on clay, so we never know.

I don't agree with you.. when I read you, I have the impression that the quarter against Mauresmo will be a formality for Lindsay ! Ughh... she is not number one anymore, and on clay...against a girl who just has won 2 tournments...

Elena Dementieva RUS (9) vs Mervana Jugic-Salkic BIH
Nicole Pratt AUS vs Tina Pisnik SLO
Klara Koukalova CZE vs Tatiana Golovin FRA
Flavia Pennetta ITA vs Anna Smashnova-Pistolesi ISR (19)

One of these 8 will take on Lindsay, who I'm sure will just cakewalk to here.
But Elena's Amelie Island title over both Justine and Lindsay proved she is a threat.
If she is unhealthy and is upset, then the winnner of Golovin vs Smashnova should come out of that quarter, and I predict and hope it's Tatiana. I'm sure Tatiana has enuff potentials to scare Lindsay into 3rd set. But Lindsay should win and reach the quarters. But I dont really think it's that easy.

it's all up to Lindsay...if she plays well and finds consistence, she can reach quarters easily. But of course if she plays as she did in Strasbourg's final then she can lose also n first round

A bit late for me to comment on lindsay's draw now but I feel I want to. I think the unfairness in the seedings has benefitted her in the draw. I think the draw so far has worked out for her. It won't be easy against Elena D tomorrow but I think Lindsay can win it. Elena did not play that well in the last round and if Anna had not cramped who knows who would have won. Amelie in the quarters won't be easy but there again I think Lindsay can come through it as Amelies nerves are bound to kick in and she has not been playing to the top of her form. I Lindsay believes - she can get to the fina, if she does not and plays like she did in the final at Strasbourg then she can lose at any time. I think she will progress though.

Go Lindsay!
