Ok guys I followed this girls developement for quite a few months now.
Last month she won the European Junior Championships, Pilzen for girls under 14.
Other success she had this year:
Winner of G16 Junior Croatia Open, Cakovec
Winner of G14 Mladost Grill Open, Zagreb
Winner of G16 Kvarner Open, Rijeka
Also reaching a G16 final in AvignonFR and a couple of SFs.
This year she has a win-loss record of 48-7 currently. With those 4 titles.
She seems to be highly talented, there´s a lot of potential, hope she´s not going to fade away and go her way.
Ok, I just started watching the livestream, but what the heck is being wrong with the camera? :spit: And I thought it couldn't have been worse than it was on Tuesday. But at least there's a scoreline
And it looks like Ana will grant us a chance to watch her again tomorrow
The WTA site already is showing Ana with a ranking of 1473? I thought that you needed 3 events to get a ranking but maybe since shes playing this week they are already setting it up?
The last game I watched was when she got broken for 2:3, second set - don't have to say I'm real glad to see that she strung 4 games to finish off the match. This is already a very successful week, but I'm looking forward to another match (and keeping my fingers crossed that someone cleans the camera by then)
Let's not forget Ana's net skills, which are very good IMO. She is very dependant on serve, like most players, unfortunately, but her game overall looks quite nice.
Ana has a nice game. Needs to work on her movement if she wants to be a good clay-courter but has a very sophosticated game I can't believe she is only 14
