Re: Wheelchair tennis

Whiley won the grand slam in doubles with Yui Kamiji last year of course. Not been so dominant this year, but she has just reached her first GS singles final at the USO. She plays BFF and doubles partner Yui Kamiji.

Re: Wheelchair tennis

Congrats Jordanne!

She & Kamiji make an impressive pair, must have been a bit tough to play her in the singles final

Re: Wheelchair tennis

Jordanne and Lucy played the wheelchair masters, but Jordanne flopped in the final group stage match, however her earlier win over Lucy scuppered the latter's chances.

Louise has broken the top 10 recently, but didn't qualify for this. However, the semis are on the red button (and presumably the BBC website) right now, and Louise is co-commentating; she's a bit of a natural at it.

Re: Wheelchair tennis

Absolutely! The Brits have some *impressive* players, indeed, of both genders. The Boys too, Alfie and Gio, were spectacular in Rio (Paralympics), their doubles matches were every bit as riveting as any AB match I've ever seen! What are they doing with their players, there must be something about their programme - like the Netherlands, they're just cranking out the good players lately! Best of luck to them and thanks for starting this thread! Yours - Remguy, Montreal (Canada)
