Through to her first ITF QF at just 15...wins over Covington and Kubicikova in Edgbaston :)

(I could of sworn she had her own thread but I can't find it anywhere?!

Gordon Brown is relieved to hear that Anna didn't apply for a postal vote.

Her reward for a SF and QF in Ecuador is not a world ranking--she still needs another result--but back in the juniors an R1 match versus world no. 6 Shymanovich at the G2 in Canada.

If she hadn't retweeted about it, I'd have overlooked her being there at all, but Anna is due to start play in the next few minutes (I think) in her first 10K final. She found she couldn't shake off the Latin dust, and blagged a wild card into this week's tourney in Bogota.

p.s. Except it's not clay. Should I now go back and check the surface for the rest of her schedule? I'd assumed they were all on red clay.

4 straight sets wins in 4 days for her, but a tougher test tomorrow. Does anyone know if she is planning an actual comeback?

Another good win for Anna today against the #426 4th seed Bhosale who won a title here a few weeks ago. She stormed through quals dropping just the one game in her two matches, and now has another counter with this win. That loss in quals last week was the only real blip in an encouraging month for her.

Hopefully she can have a bit of a proper run now that a high seed is out of the way.
