Heather's recent Wimbledon run and Laura's win in Palermo last night prove to me Robson and Watson have the Inner belief that Anne Keothavong and Elena Baltacha essentially lack as tennis players. I admire both Anne and Elena has players, although I worry that Anne is mentally fragile in many of her matches but Heather and Laura have that inner strength that sets them apart. I think its possible that both girls are our best players since Jo Durie.

I think there is no doubt that Robson and Watson will have better careers than Keothavong and Baltacha. Robson has a real chance of reaching the final in Palermo and she will already pass Baltacha in the rankings on Monday. Baltacha has gone from been Number 1 to Number 4 in Britain in a space of a couple of months.

Baltacha has never reached a WTA SF but Keothavong has on seven occasions..

I wouldn't say its fair to put it down to a lack of belief from Anne and Elena. Can't speak for Anne personally but know Elena is very driven and an amazing competitor.

However I agree, I would be hugely surprised if they didn't have better careers. They possess bigger games IMO than either Anne or Elena on their best days and they still have a lot of developing to do.

What's great from a spectators point of view is they both have such contrasting games and styles, very interesting to watch. I'd love to see a match-up thrown their way in a tour match this year. First round US maybe?

I think Heather is already British No.2 following her success at Wimbledon. She is a product of Nick's academy and I think she will be no.1 within the next year or so. She is a gutsy player and has a great personality to go with it. Laura has been a bit erratic. Her success in Palermo will help her confidence. I have no doubts that these two will reach the top 50 within a couple of years. Love seeing them play doubles together too. They are great friends off court so that helps their play.

I admire Bally very much she had two good years last year and in 2010 but this year she has struggled with her form. Anne on the other hand certainly has mental fragility in her game, I have lost count of the amount times in the last year that she has lost matches after having a winning lead. The refreshing thing about Laura and Heather is they are not afraid of winning and that is a great attitude to have. I actually hope that Heather & Laura will inspire Bally & Anne now...

The real test is the defense of points next year. The girls don't have that many points to defend, so they will climb fairly quickly. What you want to see is if they can maintain the ranking. That's the real trick. Despite Anne and Bally having a less than successful year, they did manage to keep their rankings. Bally has been the top 100 for a while now and I think that's quite a good achievement. We always look for the next generation for success and nothing could be truer in British tennis as we are craving that big WTA win. Enjoy the ride of our top 4 girls, because it will be gone before you know it. The career of a tennis player is short.

I think Anne's test will come at the end of the year in Luxembourg, Barnstaple and Munich where she lots of points to defend. Bally has an upcoming QF in Dallas and 2R US Open to defend too..

I think Laura and Heather will defend those points because they have the belief inside them.
