So surprised there was no thread for her?
IMO one of the most talented teenagers GBR has to offer....
Starts the year ranked #675 and gets an impressive first win of the season over #288 Conny Perrin (in $10k Glasgow)

A lot of times we don't start new player threads until we see that first tournament win or a huge jump in the rankings from consistent play.

Loses 6-3 6-0!
Alison has been tipped as the next big thing on TF so no big surprise here. It's been a great week for Fran though- hopefully she can go one match further in Sutton next week
EDIT: Where the draw is no where near as strong as this week!

An injury hit 2013, and as soon as she's fit again, she crack her fibula.

It's been a long, slow road back, but this week she won her first pro singles title in the Djibouti slam.

And because it's so disconcerting to see Fran smile, here's the more typical picture the LTA used in their tweet.

Another smile from Fran.
They'd only won 2 out of 14 points in the semi when I stopped checking up on the score. Sadly, their opponents were forced to retire not much later.
