As you know, but for the record, she played 4 games of the Orange Bowl in early December before retiring. It seems reasonable to assume she's still injured. Google alerts hasn't picked up anything since May, which probably says more about Google than Eleanor, but it's fair to say there haven't been many news stories about her lately, which to be honest isn't very surprising.

There was a sighting by Jess Ren in late August: http://twitter.com/jessren94/status/241209490156974080

p.s. Jess has protected her tweets now, so the link won't work for most of us.

In case anyone missed it, Spiceboy has more information--see http://www.tennisforum.com/showthread.php?p=26623018 in the disappeared players thread.

She's so talented! Didn't she win a $10k title at 14?

Re: Eleanor Dean

Eleanor is on ITF entry lists for the week of 3 Feb; Lanzarote 10K is her top priority.

Re: Eleanor Dean

Eleanor Dean won her first round match in Tinajo in the west of Lanzarote against eighth seeded Justine Ozga in straight sets, but it may have been a close match, because the score was 7-6(7), 7-6(6).

Re: Eleanor Dean

Into the quarters with victory over Clerico. Yet to lose a set on her comback.

Re: Eleanor Dean

Eleanor loses 7-5 in the third to Buchina in the quarter final.

Closer than I expected.

Concerned about the serving stats. 1 ace, 16 DF. Hope it's just rust.

Re: Eleanor Dean

Eleanor's in the QD for the next one. She was just a few points away from a special exemption today.

Haven't seen her in any more pro entry lists. What's she doing next? (I haven't checked junior lists.)

Re: Eleanor Dean

Another ranking point for Eleanor today, with a 6-4-in-the-third win over the number 3 seed on Lanzarote.

Just one more ranked tournament needed to regain her WTA ranking, either that or win this tournament.

Re: Eleanor Dean

Rain has delayed her semi final match. She was *3-2 up when the rain came.

Impressive comeback to the game after over a year out

Kuznetsova

... for some reason.

Re: Eleanor Dean

She's only gone and done it!

F: DEAN, Eleanor (GBR) Q UNR beat PARAZINSKAITE, Akvile (LTU) Q 1061 6-1 6-7(2) 7-6(3)

I think she'll now regain a ranking!

Long may this continue for her!
