Naomi Cavaday Thread

This impressive 16 year old won her 1st ITF title in Pune recently, after coming through qualifying...

She's playing in the 10K in Sunderland this week, and with a 7-5 3-6 6-1 win over Anna Fitzpatrick, she will get her 1st ranking...

Next up either #1 seed Ruutel or Kirsty Woolley...

EDIT: Now turned 17 and still impressing...

Go Naomi! She might have a decent shot at beating Ruutel if she's still feeling confident. Go Naomi!

So close Naomi. I got the feeling if she could have scraped that match, she might have won 2 titles in a row...

She's on the list for Tipton in January, and will presumably play Hull and Jersey straight after that...

She's in the final of a British Tour event in Sheffield, where she'll play Michaela Ince. Sounds like good preparation for the chllengers over the next few weeks.

Naomi has really been impressive lately. I think with good scheduling she could end the year in the top 300-350!

She actually played Lindsay Cox in the final (rank 785) and beat her 5-7 6-3 6-4

Naomi is in the final round of qualifying at the $10K Tipton after beating Deborah Armstrong 61 76. She plays Linda Smolenakova for a spot in the main draw. Go Naomi!

Her draw looks good, I think she can make the final...
