Naomi won 63 64! Great job Naomi. I thought it would be tough but you were tougher! Good luck in the semis!

Well done Naomi!

She is impressing me this year, consistently beating higher ranked players easily and impressing against the big guns. Good signs!

Naomi faces Ria Doernemmon (sp?) in the $10K Sheffield first round. She is in the same quarter as Sarah Borwell and Amanda Janes, now Keen. That's a tough section for them and for me personally as I want to see Naomi continue her great form but I want Amanda especially to have a good run! Go Naomi!

Maybe it's a bit early, but Sarah B has admitted to having trouble with lefties, so I like Naomi's chances of a 2nd final.

I think she'll beat Dillon. Her match vs Sarah B should be an interesting one if she gets there.

Naomi's through to play Sarah in the quarters after beating Dillon 57 62 61! Should be a great match between the two!

Naomi had to play 3 matches yesterday...I wonder if that will harm her chances against Sarah.

On the plus side she'll get her 1st doubles ranking after reaching a SF and 2 QFs at 10K level.

Sarah Borwell's views on Naomi...

"By changing the game plan I had used against Cavaday, I managed to maximise my strengths and keep the ball away from my weaknesses. Playing Cavaday was always going to be tough. She has had some amazing weeks, one of the best juniors I think Great Britain has right now and certainly one to pin our hopes on in the future. She has a great serve, an aggressive game and the ability to get to the net to finish the point off. I think a little more experience and more matches at a higher level will see her game become more dominating and complete! For me it was a huge win, regardless of the age or ranking gap, I was happy to get through it."

Naomi is a Leftie...

Naomi's next tournament is scheduled to be the 1st 10K event in Bath, although she's pulled out of the 2nd 10K event in Bath the following week so she may yet pull out of the 1st too...

She's in the final of the French Riviera Grade 2 junior tournament after thrashing Ksenia Lykina 60 61 in the semis. She has a very tough match against Tamira Paszek tomorrow. Good luck Naomi!

Great tournament for her. Will be interesting to see how she does at junior wimbledon this year as she will surly get a WC into it.
