National Junior Champion Tara Moore and Commonwealth Youth Champion Heather Watson

...into having too much pressure placed on her shoulders, and getting slagged off when she has a few bad results...

EDIT: I've included Heather Watson in this thread because she's also a 13 year old at Bollettieri like Tara...she got to the semi final of her first tournament where Tara won the singles...

She qualified for her first Grade 4 Tournament and made the 2nd round in Georgia but lost in the 1st round in doubles (with Jordane Dobbins)...

She's gone further in Canada, making the QF of both the singles and doubles so far...

Next up in singles: Taylor Ormond of Canada
Next up in doubles (with Jordane Dobbins again): #1 seeds Odell-Michels/Toporowski

One annoying thing however is that the ITF site list her as USA...

She's beaten Taylor...

Next up Kari Wig...could be tough since Tara has already played 6 matches, and now faces a seeded 16 year old...

Her next opponent is the the top 500 though... She's never won a junior tournament though so fingers crossed...good luck Tara...

Tara won her 1st Grade 4 tournament...

She should debut around the 700 mark on the junior rankings (she didn't get any points from her first tournament)...

Hopefully this girl is the real deal! She has started off her junior career as well as the likes of Vaidisova and Karatantcheva. I don't want to put too much pressure on her but it's hard not to when we've been waiting so long for someone! Go Tara!

They made a mistake on ITF. ON ***************** they have her listed as British, she played the British U14 Nationals, and she's even listed on LTA website. I think they thought she was American because she trains in Florida.

There's a grade 2 event next week in South Carolina I believe. It would be good if she played that to see how she competes against top 300 players.

She's not on the entry list, so unless she gets a wildcard...

I agree though, I'm sure they'll try to move her up to Grade 2's fairly quickly...

I've just noticed she's in the qualifying list of a Grade 4 the following week... along with Jordane Dobbins (her doubles partner for the last 2)...
