OK, so here are mine (i did one on GBTG, so these will probably be hideously different!)

Anne Keothavong - Will be affected by the injury for the first half of the year, rehabilitating and readjusting to competition. Will not defend most of those points therefore, but depending on the draw at Wimbledon will probably remain in the Top 300. She will go mad in the final half of the year to make up the points, returning to around 150. Obatafan's official end ranking: 156

Elena Baltacha - Will have some inconsistensies that she needs to iron out, and will more or less do that by Wimbledon time. Will rise onto the fringes of or actually inside the world's top 100 by the end of 2005. Obatafan's official end ranking: 102

Amanda Janes - A breakthrough year for AJ. She will defend all her points and then some in the first half of the year, and will win a round at Wimbledon. If she goes to Australia and the US next year, she will qualify for one of those draws. Obatafan's official end ranking: 110

Jane O'Donoghue - Jane will struggle to find the consistency needed to go higher. Will have her usual array of one match playing very well and the next playing poorly against players she should beat. Obatafan's official end ranking: 214

Emily Webley-Smith - Can't fall down at all really until grass season, so if she is fit and well (no ankle worries) will start to make a route to the Top 200. It will be difficult to defend ALL the grass points, so will take a hit from that, but will recover them in the latter part of the season. Obatafan's official end ranking: 252

Katie O'Brien - Will have a good season, defending all her points and adding to them. Will take a top 200 scalp or two on the way, overtaking Emily for British #5. Obatafan's official end ranking: 248

Melanie South - Due to lack of match practice will struggle to make an impact for the first part of the year, and takes a hit because of that. I don't see her improving much further next year from where she is now. Obatafan's official end ranking: 398

Sarah Borwell - Will have a much improved year. Getting results with her new and improved coach in Bath, and more matchplay in singles and doubles. Improves steadily and is battling for a Wimbles maindraw wildcard, and could have a good grass season if healthy. Obatafan's official end ranking: 303

Karen Paterson - Along with Sarah, will have a breakthrough year, i am expecting big things from Karen, and if she doesn't deliver..... Taking advantage of her lack of points to defend in the first half of the season, will improve to the fringes of the top 300 and stay there for the rest of the year. Will have a late dash to finish just in front of SB. Will win her first challenger. Obatafan's official end ranking: 287

Claire Peterzan - Have a mirror season of the great Katie O'Brien. Will end it taking several small challengers and pushing into the higher tiered challengers. Obatafan's end rank: 243

Hannah Collin - God knows Hannah can play, but i don't see her making the move again, i am afraid its been too long stuck in the doldrums for her. Will have flashes of her brilliance but will struggle to improve and may well have a worse ranking. I hope i am wrong, because if the world was a place where things happen because they should, Hannah should already be top 100. Obatafan's official end ranking: 497

Hannah Grady - A big leap from Hannah in this year, abandoning the juniors and going full throttle at the seniors. Takes some big name scalps but struggles for consistency which she will find by the end of the year. Obatafan's official end ranking: 357

Rebecca Llewellyn - Stays about the same. Obatafan's official end ranking: 520
Chantal Coombs - Fightback from injury for Chantal, gets to where she was before it. Obatafan's official end ranking: 545
Holly Bagshaw - Same as Llewellyn and Coombs, but may improve further to around where Karen is now. Obatafan's official end ranking: 481
Anna Hawkins - Maybe ends up retiring from singles at least unless she gets the consistency needed for a higher rank in the early part of the season. Obatafan's official end ranking: 844

I can't think of others at the moment.

The fruit series is suspended whilst Grachka (obatafan) mourns Saori's retirement.

I agree with a lot of your pedictions but have a few MAJOR differences of opinion with some players.

Mel South- May struggle at the start of the year but by the end of the year i see her in the top 300.

I see Karen climbing but not that high i see her around 340ish.

I see Claire P rising but i think shes more likly to be 380ish.

I see Hannah C is she continues to play moving to around 450.God knows shes capable of top 250 but who knows.

Hannah G.I think at the start of the year she climb to maybe 550ish then stay there for a while then shoot up towards around 400 by years end.

I see Holly having a good year making a big breakthrough and inside the top 400.

Becky ll top 500

Chantal back in the top 500 if shes fit.

others to look out for.

Kirsty W,Alice M,Dannielle B and Lara F

GOOD LUCK IN 2014 GB TENNIS GIRLS

Naomi Broady, Tara Moore, Heather Watson , Laura Robson
