They were down 5-1 in the second but it says they won so I guess a retirement? Good job anyway!

The scoreboard got confused, it was doubles qualifying which they lost 7-9. I am guessing they went up 6-4, then oponents won 5 games etc to make it to 9

She lost the first 62 but it's 11 in the second set and she's making CLijsters play! She's done well!

Katie last 62 63 but Clijsters very well! Some people even said she had definite top 10 potential!

Top 10!?

but a great performance nonetheless! She has the basics down, so she just has to believe that she is better than grinding it around the challenger circuit. I would be happy never to watch her playing the Edinburgh $10K if it meant she was out there realising her potential on the WTA Tour. She certainly can do it, she just needs the experience, and the consistency to beat these players

Live up to the thread name Katie!

The fruit series is suspended whilst Grachka (obatafan) mourns Saori's retirement.

Katie got a WC into Felixstowe $25K where she is seeded 8 and plays a qualifier and will likely play Holly Bagshaw in the second round! Hopefully she can get a couple wins and get back on the right track! Go Katie!

Well, suddenly Katie's draw is looking a little difficult. She has to play Rebecca Llewellyn in the first round! Not only do I like them both, but Katie needs the points and has a very tough opponent! May the better Brit win!

Katie will now finally break the top 300 after making her first $25K semifinal at Felixstowe beating:
Llewellyn 63 63
Bagshaw in straights (can't think of the score)
Worhle sp?
lost to Gajdosova 64 64

Great week!
