British Tour: Cardiff

Since GBTG isn't working at the moment I thought I'd post the draw here. Main draw runs from tomorrow until Saturday:

1st round:

Carla Bell (3.1 - Q) V Q
Lisa Quiller (3.1) V Melissa Gibb (2.2)
Laura Pettingale (2.2) V Carly Homewood (3.1)
- I find it hard to believe Carly only has a 3.1 rating now!
N. Manley (3.1) V Lucy Fletcher (2.2)
Q V Georgina Hingley (2.2)
Laura Burns (3.1) V Annabel Bann (3.1)
Elizabeth Thomas (2.2) V Katy Williams (3.1)
Jessica Jackson (2.2) V Sophie Wilkinson (3.1 - Q)

2nd round:

Chantal Coombs (469) V Bell / Q
Quiller / Gibb V Sarah Coles (2.2)
Kirsty Woolley (853) V Pettingale / Homewood
Manley / Fletcher V Helen Fritche (1104)
Claire Ricketts (1007) V Q / Georgina Hingley (2.2)
Burns / Bann V Anna Hawkins (817)
Samantha Murray (2.1) V Thomas / Williams
Jackson / Wilkinson V Rebecca Dandeniya

Good luck to Carla Bell, nice to see an Essex junior coming through.

You rating goes down if you don't play.Thats why Carly has dropped down.

Good to see her back.Hope shes fully fit.

Good to see Kirsty Wolley back.Shes got raw talent. If someone could just grap hold of her she could do very well.

GOOD LUCK IN 2016 GB TENNIS GIRLS

Johanna Konta, Naomi Broady, Tara Moore, Heather Watson , Laura Robson

1st Rd:

Carla Bell (Essex) bt Ilge Alpay (Middlesex) 7-5 7-5
Melissa Gibb (Buckinghamshire) bt Lisa Quiller (Middlesex) 6-4 7-6 (8-6)
Laura Pettingale (Hertfordshire) bt Carly Homewood (Sussex) 6-1 6-1
Olivia Scarfi (Wal) bt Georgina Hingley (Warwickshire) 6-3 6-2
Lucy Fletcher (Cheshire) bt Abbie Probert (Surrey) 6-2 6-1
Laura Burns (Hertordshire) bt Annabel Bann (Surrey) 5-7 6-1 6-2
Elizabeth Thomas (Lancashire) bt Katy Williams (Hertfordshire) 4-6 6-3 7-5
Sophie Wilkinson (Gloucestershire) bt Jessica Jackson (Warwickshire) 6-3 6-2

Excellent result for Bell! Good result for Scarfi too, I thought she looked pretty talented in the 16& under masters. Good luck to Carly in her comeback, but given today's scoreline, it looks like it will be quite tough for her.

Question Wrong result in newspaper today

You are right Monica Rules

Helen beat Sarah in the semis

Rebecca then beat Helen in the final

Yes, I got the result from the BBC website, and couldn't work out which was right, the Coles V Fritche semi result, or the final result
