Caroline Garcia APPRECIATION THREAD

Hello,
It was absolutely heart wrenching to see Caroline Garcia leave the court crying as she scurried back into the stadium.
First off I am a huge fan of Serena Williams. But Serena did not do anything too spectacular today (bad enough that her normal level is spectacular in and by itself), but Garcia once again had her run in a slam hampered, frustrated and derailed by Williams once more. I feel for her as, personally, I believe SHE IS BY FAR the most technically sound and able youngster at the moment. I'd still like for her to change her service motion since she puts too much unnecessary strain on the shoulder and the ball toss uneven and high, ergo, she has no feel on the toss. Also she should shorten her forehand motion and use better leg positioning a la Williams to anchor herself in, rotate the hips better and generate MASSIVE speed. WILLIAMS HAS PERFECTED THE TECHNIQUE and in fact, this is why I believe Williams could ably beat any man on the tour. Her forehand motion is beyond technically sound, IT DEFINES HOW A FOREHAND SHOULD BE HIT. And Garcia is close but still little adjustments are needed.

Garcia is extremely quick on the run, mentally solid, and simply need some more wins on the tour. She should not get her head down because she once more PLAYED A GREAT MATCH and displayed OUTSTANDING abilities on court against the greatest athlete to ever touch a tennis ball and really accounted herself well and to the public. I command her staying strong till the end.

GOD SPEED CAROLINE!

Players forum, but I do agree, she is a promising young player and timed the ball wonderfully today.

She has an awful lot going for her. I like what I saw today. If she keeps it up her ranking will take care of itself and she might eventually get a seeded position so no Serena in round 2 would even be a possibility.

RIP Elena Baltacha, thank you for dedicating your life to a sport we all love. You'll be missed but never forgotten.

To get a better assessment for players who are impressive against the likes of Serena, Maria or Azarenka and top players.
What have have they done elsewhere, i.e. when playing other players not in the top 5, how do they fare?
If they have been competitive, then it is good news.
If not, then they are the type of players who just get for ONE match:, when playing against top 5

Re: Caroline Garcia APPRECIATION THREAD

When will this silly girl get some consistency? The other hyped up teens have finally started moving up the rankings while this girl is still barely on the fringes of the WTA tour.

Williams being able to beat any man on tour? Serena is in a league of her own on the WTA Tour, but this comment is so uninformed that it rids the rest of the post of any credibility.

Perhaps it was not meant as a compliment
