Any idea who'll be going to the Olympics for France?

Amelie will obviously go if she's healthy. But will the second singles player be Mary or Nathalie? Will the doubles team be Dechy/Loit or (since they seem to playing together at the moment) Bartoli/Loit? Or will Sandrine Testud have stormed back to where she left? Or will Tatiana Golovin be given a chance? I'm curious!

Obviously, Amelie would be in with a good chance of a singles medal and I'd rate Dechy/Loit quite highly too since so few countries have a pair that have played together frequently.

I'm sure that Amélie Mauresmo will play the singles. And why not the doubles ...? She always said that Olympic games are really very " important " for her.

I think that Nathalie Dechy will be the second french tennis player for the singles. I, unfortunatly, don' t think that Mary Pierce will play this event.

Dechy / Mauresmo or Dechy / Loit in doubles, I think.

Mary said that the olympics are in her 2004 program , so i don't know if she is qualified right now, but if she said that it maght means that she have a serious chance to be selected...what do you think about that???

Bartoli/Loit is very possible. They are playing doubles together a lot right now so I think they are preparing for the Olympic games.

All the best to Justine Henin-Hardenne!!

This could actually be pretty interesting. Hopefully nobody will come out with a sordid "memoir" in the next few months. Well, obviously Amélie will play if healthy but Nathalie vs. Mary could get very close. It really depends on how Mary plays the next few months, and my prediction is that she'll get it, and the doubles team would probably be Dechy/Loit. Tatiana is massively talented, as is Marion, but I think they may favour experience and career achievement (and the fact the three older ladies may not be at the same level in 4 years, while Tati and Marion will still be young.)

Allez France Aux Jeux Olympiques!

Well, I walk into the room
Passing out hundred dollar bills
And it kills and it thrills like the horns on my Silverado grill
And I buy the bar a double round of crown
And everybody's getting down
And this town ain't never gonna be the same.
Cause I saddle up my horse and I ride into the city
I make a lot of noise
Cause the girls, they are so pretty...

All
ez Amélie!

I sort of assumed that Amelie wouldn't want to play doubles as well as singles, but I guess she might. I'm not sure, though, that it wouldn't be better to go with Dechy/Loit or Bartoli/Loit as they'd be more in practice. If they go by rankings, I rather suspect that Dechy will take the second singles spot but if Mary starts playing well they might go with her.

I don' t think that Marion Bartoli will play the doubles. She won' t be choose. Moreover, she didn' t play the Fed cup, and said " no " to a selection last year .....
