I think you need to be Polish to really understand what we're going through at the moment. People of Rome, I'm sure they loved the pope but for people of Poland he was a true holly father and at the same time a friend, grandpa, dad etc. I've been crying for more than an hour, I know he's in a better world now, with God in heavan and that he suffers no more but the pain in my heart is just shattering Rest in peace Papa, you'll leave in our hearts and memories forever

I'm not a Catholic, but I am also sad that Pope John Paul ll has passed away

I was in Rome last December and saw the Pope bless the crowds of people at St. Peter's Square so I can imagine your sadness, and also that of the Polish people

It's said that 200,000 people attended today's mass in St. Peter square in Watikan. And that even 4 mln people from around the world are expected to come to Rome to honour this great man.

In Argentina we loved him too much, he did a lot of great things for all the world, including us.
He stoped the inminent beggining of a war between Argentina and Chile in 1978 just few hours before it starts. I was 3 years old but my father was called to barracks, he said goodbye to all of us.
Later, in 1982 he come here for the first time during Argentina-England war after visiting London, and he stoped the war who was killing so many of our kids.

And well, as a catholic country we loved him, he was our leader and the best pope in many centuries. We all were so sad

Hugs to you, Ale. In Warsaw over 200,000 young people marched through the streets of the city to honour our pope (In Cracow 200,000) , the other day around 300,000 people took part in a holly mass in Warsaw while in Cracow between 800,000 up to milion. There were hundreds of thousands candles and flowers along all streets, squares and parks named after John Paul II in all cities of Poland. he was Poland's beloved son. But he will not be forgotten
