Yuliya has a tough draw in Ankara - 50K - Sirotkina 5seed R1....Yuliya nmbr 9 ranked player in the draw.... Winnable though, good luck!
I guess Yuliya will be off to Australia for the Open after Christmas, she is easily high enough to be in QD, and no points to defend either in Oz....

Hoping for a good draw for the Oz Open qualies tomorrow

(Edited)
Yes the points would be good, she had Savinykh seeded 5 in R1 last year, so no points to defend.,,she needs a kind draw to get this year kick started

Here is her AO Q section:
(3)Greta Arn (HUN) v Akiko Omae (JPN)
(wc)Storm Sanders (AUS) v
Yuliya Beygelzimer (UKR)
Irina Khromacheva (RUS) v Tereza Mrdeza (CRO)
Julia Glushko (ISR) v (23)Mariana Duque-Marino (COL)
If she plays her game, she should beat Sanders. :yeah: Greta Arn will probably be a bit tough.
Good luck Yuliya :bump:

Yes 62 62 very good, I watched the live scores, Yuliya fought hard and was imperious by the end of the match
Doubly pleased as Storm Sanders beat Eugenie Bouchard of Canada in Sydney in straight sets last week - end. So she can play.
Great day for Ukraine, all five girls in qualies won!

Lost 1 & 2.
Tough loss, quite disappointing, thought she would offer more resistance. Yuliya

I thought that when I saw the score but Yuliya won 51 points, had 0/6 on break points, Greta 4/12, so clearly quite a fight.
For instance Dubois won her R2Q match 60 64 and won 52 points.....
So I think Yuliya fought , even if score line not v flattering..
Pleased with the 40 points at least!
