Bozhidar Katsarov (Top 10 U.S. Boys 16s/#1 So Cal Boys 16s) relocated to Southern California from Bulgaria last September with his mother and father and has established himself very quickly as one of the premier players in the country. In 2005, Bozhidar won 3 Nationals, reached the finals of the Carson ITF 16s, made the quarters of the U.S. Clays and the So Cal Sectionals and catapulted himself into the top 10 with wins over Matuez Kecki and Jarmere Jenkins. Bo's goals this year are to be #1 in the U.S., win the Eddie Herr and Orange Bowl in the Boys 16s and to qualify for all of the U.S. majors in 18s in 2006.
"The gym, the pool, the facility, the coaching staff-it's perfect. The weather is perfect for me too-always sunny. In Bulgaria, I didn't have players to train with-here at Weil I have good players to train with. It's really great for me."
Bo's father, Ognyan, is on the Weil coaching staff and is a former Federation Cup and National Coach for Bulgaria.
