Could elena take the French open?

She almost did last year and she doesnt have to rely on her serve as much as other GS's so i think she could.

I really really really hope she gets a slam this year! at the USO i almost cried

I think she needs a better serve and steadier nerves to do one better. I'm hoping she's do well!

she wants it so bad.that is the only reason i believe she can do it.if the tournament was on grass she'd do well because it means everything to her

She can if she plays up to her potential... but recently she really hasn't done as well as I've hoped, we'll see what happens within the next several weeks

ithink lena has done much better this year ,just bad luck has hampered her so far.
Yeas she CAN take the FO ,clay is much better for her type of game and serve is less of a problem ,you need to be fast, fit and strong and ,guess what ,Lena is all three of those so she can do it as long as she focuses ,of all the slams this is her best chance and she will be VERY determined!!

Offcourse she can win the FO, there's no doubt in my mind that Lena can't win the FO, FO Clay is also much much slower then the USO and AO HC courts, the FO clay is heavy to play (if you know what i mean, can't find the correct word) if i'm correct, i've read it somewhere in a Tennis-magazine

I think Lena has also more experience going into GS finals now, let's hope she can get rid of her nerves when she'll play a GS final

Off course she'll win a grand slam, what a silly question.

Sure.... it's her favourite surface, and on clay, almost anyone's a shot. Opponents can't hurt her serve as much, and the slice stays reasonably low on clay still. The rallies are longer, so she can impose her groundstrokes more. And I don't think Elena will choke again. She showed no nerves at the U.S final, so I think she has learned from last year.

Yeah, I think she definetely can.
Just as long as she keeps her head together I think there will be no stopping her on Roland Garros. Eventough Nastya might be quite an opponent again if she comes across her.

Thank you, Elena
