A lot of these girls, as expected, are in Claremont ITF G4 this week. Higuchi, Chen, Liu, Desiatnikov, Shibahara, and Schaefer among them have all won their first rounds.

Possible Chen-Liu R3...Should be an exciting match if they both make it to R3.

Claremont ITF G4 R3:

(3)Emma Higuchi (USA) d. Ena Shibahara (USA) 63 16 62
(16)Claire Liu (USA) d. (2)Kelly Chen (USA) 61 63

Great wins for Emma and Claire. A final between them would be awesome.

Claire won the title beating Emma in the final 64 62! Very impressive...didn't drop more than 4 games in a set the whole week at just 13 years old.

GL to most of these girls at the Grade 1 International Spring Championships next week.

Emma took out #1 seed Samir 62 64 in the first round of the ISC! Starting to put some very nice results together. Tough ask against Duke recruit Christina Makarova today.

Chen, McCarthy, Gordon, Shibahara, Liu, and Kenin all won their first round matches as well.

ISC has been really interesting this year. Raveena is making a name for herself, she really imposed her game on Sofia today. Watched Kelly on the livestream play for the first time and was really impressed as well.

Kelly Chen (USA) d. (8)Kaitlyn McCarthy (USA) 76(5) 63

For whatever reason, Liu and Stewart decided to take part in the G16s of EB

And also Desiatnikov will play G16 instead of G18 like last week. This decision seems to make more sense.

Liu and Stewart meet in the final. Will be a good test for Claire.

Good fight from Liu.
