pisces, I am so sorry to read what you've written. Please know that there is MUCH LOVE in the Williams Tennis Association, which certain other people on this board seem to want to tear down.
I also have lost family members to drugs. Two cousins over dosed when I was a kid. Most of the people on my father's side of the family have drug or alcohol problems.
My cousin is the smartest person I know and now he is homeless because of alcohol abuse. It brings tears to my eyes to think of what he has gone through. When he started drinking, I used to drink with him. I was also abusing alcohol for my freshman year of college and ended up dropping out and losing a 4 year scholarship to an Ivy League School. Thankfully, I pulled myself together and in May will be receiving my second graduate degree from Harvard.
The bond between Williams fans is very strong. We have your back when you need it. But you know, you have suffered so much, please just ignore the posters who call you names and want to drag you down. Learn who they are and not to read their posts. I have. It can be tough and sometimes you forget, but if you try to keep that as an objective, you'll find that this board will not be yet another source of hurt and pain for you, but a supportive environment where you can share our enthusiasm, hopes, dreams and love for Venus and Serena.
You might want to start some threads in the "safe zone" which is the Williams Tennis Association section. If you are feeling down, only read posts in this section. You'll get "nothing but love" from us,I promise.
By the way, I am also a pisces. March 5th.
Peace and good luck to you. Keep your eyes on the prize and always remember that the sisters are one of the biggest success stories of our time.
