Re: Melanie Oudin

67 63 26 Baby steps I guess. I definately saw improvement from the Wimbledon match.

Still she DF at all the wrong times and made some really stupid errors

Re: Melanie Oudin

I honestly don't know how she can play like that and lose R1 of a 50k. I was expecting awful. While she isn't anywhere near her best, she wasn't playing badly enough to lose to someone not ranked in the top 200. I guess it's encouraging that she even took a set.

Serena Williams ~ Maria Sharapova ~ Venus Williams ~ Jelena Dokic ~ Melanie Oudin ~ Christina McHale

Vandeweghe ~ Mattek-Sands ~ King ~ Hampton ~ Riske ~ Glatch ~ Brengle ~ Rogers ~ Stephens ~ Boserup ~ Davis ~ Keys ~ Lepchenko ~ Falconi ~ Chirico ~ Crawford ~ Gibbs ~ Pegula ~ Min ~ Townsend ~ Duval ~ Vickery ~ Bellis ~ Ahn

Re: Melanie Oudin

Good fight, Mel
I expected a beatdown

Daniilidou. Venus. Azarenka. Halep. Wickmayer.
Cornet. Ivanovic. Vesnina.. Vaidisova. Krajicek.
Paszek. Begu. Cirstea. Lisicki. Pavlyuchenkova.
Pironkova. Stephens. Tatishvili. McHale. Flipkens.
Grammatikopoulou ~ Papamichail ~ Sakkari
I'm obsessed with the Greek players. Deal with it.

Re: Melanie Oudin

San Diego Round 1: Oudin vs. Baltacha!

Pretty winnable in my opinion...

Re: Melanie Oudin

Baltacha is pretty good.

She's going to have to play well to have a shot.

Re: Melanie Oudin

Not a bad R1 at all, but you can't be confident with any draw these days...

Serena Williams ~ Maria Sharapova ~ Venus Williams ~ Jelena Dokic ~ Melanie Oudin ~ Christina McHale

Re: Melanie Oudin

Baltacha def Oudin 6-0 6-1

I read this about the match on twitter: The Brit lost only 4 points on serve in the whole match, and none in the 2nd set.

Mel It's all just a bit tragic at the moment. True a lot of people on this thread underestimated Baltacha - she's not ranked 60 for nothing. But this was not even close to being competitive!

Re: Melanie Oudin

I kind of like this though. She is slowly falling down the rankings and hopefully THEN will realize she needs to do SOMETHING!

Oh Mel...

Re: Melanie Oudin

Either Mel's career is finished totally, or she'll wake up and realize that she MUST fire her coach. I don't care if she doesn't even hire a new one.

She needs to take that first step and rid herself of that abusive slimeball ASAP!
