I got to watch Taylor play a couple months ago and its was a nice surprise, I found her pretty enjoyable to watch, her leftie strokes were looking good (even though they're lacking some lethal factor yet)... and yesterday, she won her biggest title to date, G1 Copa Barranquilla in Colombia, and I thought it was a good occasion to start a cheering thread for her :)

Taylor is 15 (born August 7, 2000), she's from LA, and as I've mentioned above, she's a leftie which I always find pretty exciting.

Last week, she beat Sandra Bozinovic 3 & 3 in R1, 5th seed Emiliana Arango (#79) 6-3 2-6 7-6(5) in R2, 10th seed Yang Lee (#127) 1 & 4 in R3, (WC)Maria Osorio Serrano 7-6(4) 6-1 in QF, Shelly Krolitzky (who slew top seed Pervushina in QF :tears:) 4 & 1 in SF, and qualifier Maria Vittoria Viviani 1 & 3 in the final on her way to the G1 championship! :yeah: (even though it's obvious that the field was just ridiculously field for a G1).

She's currently #216, her CHR so far is 200, but she will make a big jump in the post-Ao rankings! :D

Last year, she only made 1 final, in May at G4 Delray Beach, which she lost to Tyra Black, 3 & 2.

Let's hope for a good 2016 for Tay! :hearts: :cheer:

She beat Juliana Valero 4 & 2 in R1, 4th seed Lara Escauriza (#82) 3 & 1 in R2, and Amanda Meyer 6-1 7-6(4) in R3, lost to 7th seed Tatiana Pieri (#90) in QF, 4-6 6-7(3)

She's made a huge jump in the rankings thanks to her great last week, up to a new CHR of 81 (+135) this week :hearts:

Taylor is through to the SFs of G2 Inka Bowl in Peru this week :) :bounce:

Seeded 2, she beat Melany Solange Krywoj 1 & 1 in R1, Juliana Valero 6-1 5-7 6-3 in R2, and Fernanda Labrana 2 & 4 in QF :yeah:

She will face 3rd seed Lara Escauriza in SF :cheer:

Tay was the 8th seed at G1 USTA International Spring Championships this week, but she lost to Carson Branstine in R1, 3-6 7-6(7) 3-6.

A bit disappointing :( But Carson is a good player, she made the QFs lost a very close match to top seed Anisimova in QF. ;)

Tay is playing the Wimbledon warm-up event, G1 Roehampton, this week! :)

She beat 10th seed Yuki Naito (#16) 6-3 2-6 7-6(6) in R1 yesterday (she saved a ton of MPs, was 2-6 down in the TB iirc! :hysteric: ), and routined Jia Qi Ren 3 & 1 in R2 today :D :yeah:

R3 match is winnable, she's facing local WC Francesca Jones (who took out 8th seed Craciun today) :bounce: :cheer:

Tay has just snatched the R1 win at her first Wimbledon, 4 & 3 over 17 yo WC Eden Richardson :hearts: :D

Thunderous come back in the 2nd set from 0-3* down, invisible bagel baby! Those British WCs are always tricky because they generally know how to play on grass (plus the obvious factor of having the homecrowd support), so well done to Tay!

Stan is maybe a tad too strong (at least for the moment ), I've only watched her play once but I found her game rather pleasant even though not particularly impressive :p

But look, we're 3 now!

I've got to check in the morning if ESPN3 will show her match. By the way, does she have any social media pages?
I only know her Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/taylorvjohnson/), I'm not sure whether she has Twitter or anything else ;)
