Re: Early Entries

Reehanna playing here is so random . She skipped it last year as defending champion and it's the week before two P5s . Also apparently she's planning to play Bastad again ?

My number one: Victoria Azarenka

ATP: Novak Djoković

Serena playing here is odd. Playing 4 weeks in the summer? Bastad, Stanford, Canada, Cincinnati?

She skipped Doha so she has to play Canada, Cincinnati, and Tokyo.

Odd scheduling.

Serena Williams, Angelique Kerber, Sara Errani and Carla Suarez Navarro also pre-entered.

Re: Early Entries

Well with Carlsbad gone this Tournament now has a super spot in the calendar, as 3 weeks of MMs will be enough of a break for the Top Players. Most of them will most certainly skip New Haven and get another break before the US Open after having played Stanford, Montréal and Cincinnati.

N. VAIDISOVA - T. GOLOVIN - A. BONDARENKO - A. SZAVAY
D. HANTUCHOVA - A. PAVLYUCHENKOVA - E. VESNINA - E. SVITOLINA
J. GOERGES - A. WOZNIAK - Y. WICKMAYER - E. BOUCHARD - Ka. PLISKOVA

If I were a player id rather play Stanford then have a week off before the other two though . Potentially 17 matches in 21 days is NOT feasible.
