New thread as 15k Tweeds provisional EL comes out next Friday :D

It's exciting to see whom we might find on these upcoming entry lists.

I have a feeling Arina might be back to play these. I hope Storm does as well but then she doesn't really have a habit of playing 15ks
I think we'll get the usual suspects like Moore, Bai, Hives, Peers, Myers, Hon, Rajicic, Collie, Patterson

Issy seems like she's gone away somewhere

College has started again so the likes of Sharma, Perez, Woolcock, Harris won't be playing.

I wonder if those currently overseas like Svinos, Fourlis, Inglis, Birrell, Tjandramulia, Aiava, Tomic, Mendez, Jovanovic, Smith will be back for these events?

I honestly doubt Sara is coming back.

In other exciting news: Nannaz will be player the latter ITFs :hearts: I wonder if she will stay in AUS for like playoff and AO series? Considering the last ITF ends in mid November, it'll be quite pointless to go back to Europe for a month or so and then come back for the playoff. All-in-all I hope she stays, but maybe she could try playing some Asian ITFs. There are some big ones in Japan at the end of the year.

Blink and you'll have missed Arina getting routed.

Barty/Moore are on Court 1 so should be on the stream (can't access it atm).

Maddi and Storm up a break. WA home advantage going well today. :bounce:

Barty and Moore win in less than an hour

#1,428 ·
So Storm won rather straightforward against Saffer, Simmonds but Maddi has been taken to the third by Jones. Hope that isn't momentum lost.

Inglis wins! :cheer:

That's 3 WA women into the second round with Fourlis. 4 is not bad when consensus was it was only likely to be two.

If Jess isn't completely zonked out from two matches already she has a good chance against Elie and I think Storm could beat Haas. Maddi/Jamiee probably not but upset always on the card.

Fourlis was up 5-3 and just lost the first set 5-7. :(

Moore lost her first set too but is on the way to bagelling Elie in the 2nd.

#1,434 ·
She won the second set but Jess looks to be losing the third. She's played too much tennis, backing up 2 matches, one at night, with another in the morning is too much. :(

Jess lost 6:4 in 3rd. Got back from 5:2. Dissapointed for Jess but glad shes building form again. Plus jenny a lovely girl and like an adopted aussie like ZZ!

Fourlis gets 2nd and up in 3rd! Go!

Biggest lol of day. Arina and her partner lost 1st round of a 25k as no 1 seeds and Arina top 50 player and recent aus open qf!! No words! !

She and Storm both came from Slovakia the day before. It was always going to be a question mark irt to jet lag.

Surprising, but prepared to give her some rope in this instance.

Really hope Fourlis can close of her match now!

#1,438 ·
Her serve fell completely apart on her game, then just lost long deuce game so Nigina has the edge now I think.

Really surprised they're still out there btw, regardless of how close it to being over.

Hasn't taken advantage of two match points there. A bit more luck...

5th time is a charm! Well done Jaimee :cheer:

Best ITF result to date I think

#1,443 ·
Inglis down a break already. Hasn't started badly, just been outplayed so far.

Storm looking really good so far.

#1,444 ·
Inglis breaks back. This is a really good standard match for a $25k. So much better than the error-fests earlier in the day.

First set lost

Inglis has done really well so far, it's been a tight match but she just lost that set, the class of Han hitting fewer errors was the difference, but she's a really clean hitter of the ball.

I'm predicting Maddi is going to run out of legs her soon if the 2nd is long as this one was - but she's shown she can compete with a 120th ranked player which is really good. Can easily see her reaching this level as her game improves.

Been a lot closer in the 2nd set for Storm, but she played really well in the first I think. Could see her step up again this year back to the level she was at before falling by the wayside a bit. Promising.

It's a shame all you 12 years olds have gone to bed.

Some really good tennis being played. Maddi up a break again Han 3-1. So poised.

Storm up 4-3 with a break in the second and playing so nice shots and looks really quick with her court coverage. You can hear her chirping away on the stream which is great, provides more entertainment.

Headache for general scheduling, but these night matches should happen more often. Really, they're a necessity if playing tournies in WA in middle of Summer.

Storm wins :cheer:

She played really well and looked really good, Haas came back that last set and she managed tough it out and get on top by the end, not a fluke win. Whatever she's done post-AO it's worked.

Inglis serving for the second set now. Han has managed to not argue with the ump or linespeople for 2 games which is a record the match I think.

"It missed by this much......Omg you must be so pissed"

Maddi having a go at the chair now, not like by both players.

She lost the game after being up 2 set points, hopefully can still salvage the set.

She did win the set and after a long break came out and broke to love in the first game. Maybe it's her opponent that's feeling more fatigued.

Big upset if Inglis can win this. Silver lining for Jess Moore losing today in singles means not playing again tomorrow morning after another late one tonight!

Inglis up a break in a marathon match but since it's taking so long the Moore/Barty match has been moved to another court, which means no stream unfortunately.

Inglis up 5-3. This has been as good a match as her AO PO run, regardless of final result.

Woooo, great win, Maddi!!! :cheer:

Taking out the top seed who was playing very strong in the 1st, and last 2.5 hours. Wow. :worship:
