Re: Roland Garros 2015

I think Liv will get the wildcard. Cant see who else they will give it to Hon playing juniors this week. Shes not ready. Birrel hasn't really played much. And the Rodionovas wont get it that's for sure.

Sharapova ~ Li ~ Kerber ~ Kvitova ~ Kirilenko ~ Ivanovic ~ Stephens ~ Makarova ~ Safarova ~ Cirstea ~ Goerges ~ Cornet ~ Lisicki ~ Robson ~ Watson ~ Kanepi ~ Keys ~ Tsurenko ~ Wozniak ~ Puig ~ Oudin ~ Petkovic ~ Sevastova ~ Rezai

AND OF COURSE ALL THE AUSSIES!!!

Re: Roland Garros 2015

Both Hon and Rogowska have entered a 25k in the week of RG. Let's see which one pulls out first.

Hon is playing juniors because she doesn't want to exceed the limit of tournaments she can play (remember she still has Age eligibility rule in place)

MANDY MINELLA. PRISCILLA HON

CASEY DELLACQUA. JARMILA WOLFE. SAMANTHA STOSUR
QIANG WANG. SHILIN XU. AYUMI MORITA. NAO HIBINO
LESIA TSURENKO. ALIZÉ LIM. NAOMI OSAKA. JULIA GÖRGES.
OLIVIA TJANDRAMULIA. NAIKTHA BAINS. KIMBERLY BIRRELL.
KAROLINA PLISKOVA. KIMIKO DATE-KRUMM. DESTANEE AIAVA

anyone but Olivia, it is for young players who need a chance, shes had more than enough and experience to qualify on her own now. Plus the developing players will get more from the experience and need the money like Hon or even Tomic.

Good luck to the Aussie and Balkan girls!

Re: Roland Garros 2015

^ She's just turned 17 now, so she has 16 tournaments in the next 12 months, 4 more.

Its hard to know what TA are thinking but with Hon playing in Italy she must be earmarked for a main draw w/c or another reciprocal quallie w/c swap. Though she's not really ready, I agree, I hope gets the main draw one.

There's more to life than just being happy.

Re: Roland Garros 2015

They just announced Kokkinakis as men's recipient. Expected.

No word on the women yet. Maybe it's another Ying-Ying Duan hush hush type situation

Re: Roland Garros 2015

I asked TA on Twitter re the women's WC and they replied with "no news yet".

At least they replied, unlike back in January..

Re: Roland Garros 2015

I hope it goes to Hon.
If not Hon, maybe Nastya.
Sanders and Rogowska don't deserve it.

Re: Roland Garros 2015

I'm kinda starting to think we shouldn't take one at all. We really don't have anyone to put in the MD who won't look a bit ridiculous being there
