Go Pratty!!

Another win for the Oz gals. Was surprised at the score 7-5 6-0. Nicole must have ripped thru the second set, as it was 5 all in the first, went to clean my kitchen floor and by time I got back it was all over. Well done Nicole, next up is Silvia Farina-Elia, a match that I think is winnable.

Nicoles back to her consistency of continously playing tough, high level tennis. Most of her losses now are very close and a comprehensive win like this shows she's in form.

I think Farina-Elia is playing well, so it's a big ask, but she's played enough tennis in the US to be prepared.

Agree that it is a big ask, Farina-Elia would undoubtedly be the favourite so it Nicole doesn't win I wouldn't consider that she has missed an opportunity at all.

Nicole is in with a shot...Silvia is playing great tennis the last few months but is a little underdone this (US) summer. Hopefully Nic can take full advantage...although Silvia was pretty impressive in disposing of Salerni rather easily. Will be tough (but winnable!)

Very convincing win for Nicole....she certainly has picked her game, as I knew she would!

Anyway, let's go Nicole! Oh, and we can never have enough Nicole threads IMO

Farina-Elia is playing a lot better now than at the start of the year where she was slumping. This will be a tougher meet than at the start of the year.

Nicole definitely has a chance, she's playing well. If she can get on top of Silvia early on in the match I give her a real chance as Farina can sometimes get negative/disheartened and lose the plot when down.

At the Australian Open after losing the first set which was a bit of a dogfight, Farina kinda caved in and gave up. Would love Nicole to get this win!!!

Well done Nicole. She has worked hard to get to this point and she deserves all the success she is achieving. Well done, who knows maybe she can pull out a win over Sugiyama R3. Think she has beaten Ai before so it's not impossible.

Don't hold me to this, but I think they've played 4-5 times and Nicole has won everyone except one. I think the one she lost, Nicole retired with injury! Hopefully Alicia and Nic are pushing each other!

Wow didn't know Pratt had such an impressive head to head against Ai Sugiyama, still saying that both players are in better form that last year and in previous meetings.

I reckon this one could go down to the wire!

Go Pratty!!!
