Will be interesting to see her progress in 2015. I hope she gives juniors a real crack, I think she could follow in the same vein as Mendez.

I don't get it. Is it some type of law that all Greeks of Australia must play tennis? Kokkinakis, Philippoussis, Kyrgios, Thomas, Horiatopoulos, Svinos, etc.

Daniilidou. Venus. Azarenka. Halep. Wickmayer.
Cornet. Ivanovic. Vesnina.. Vaidisova. Krajicek.
Paszek. Begu. Cirstea. Lisicki. Pavlyuchenkova.
Pironkova. Stephens. Tatishvili. McHale. Flipkens.
Grammatikopoulou ~ Papamichail ~ Sakkari
I'm obsessed with the Greek players. Deal with it.

Jaimee Fourlis (14s and 16s NATIONAL CHAMP)

There's just a lot of Greek people here haha.

"The 2011 census recorded 378,270 people of Greek ancestry, and 99,939 born in Greece."

That's a lot considering our population is only 22 million.

It's not that they all play tennis, we have a lot of Greek Australian politics, singers, other spots stars because of the high number of immigrants.

I always knew there were a lot but didn't realize Australia's population was only 22 million

Re: Jaimee Fourlis (14s and 16s NATIONAL CHAMP)

Watched Jaimee for the first time this week at the Melbourne 15K and was impressed with what I saw. The girl has a very aggressive mindset and then backs that up with some very flat hitting. However, there seem to be some doubters out there who are questioning if she has any real weapons or not... Well, just for the record, I wanna state that I'm not one of those people. This week, she qualified and then fought her way to the semis in what was her first Pro Tour event of the year. Methinks fans will have to watch this one very closely from now on...

Re: Jaimee Fourlis (14s and 16s NATIONAL CHAMP)

I agree. Its just an age thing at the moment. She is quite relentless out there, trying to hit the ball hard and stepping in the court. It is a taxing way to play but I think she has a strong enough body frame to cope.

There's more to life than just being happy.
