From the 'burbs of Canberra, she took her one-handed backhand off to Spain years ago and now we are watching history unfold. This is the story of Alexandra Nancarrow. Never before have we seen a young Aussie scour the entire Mediterranean region so thoroughly in search of the sparse WTA points and prizemoney handed out at the glamorous circuit of $10K ITF events.
She burst on the scene in 2009 to qualify for an Aussie $25K but since then has spent almost all of her time in Southern Europe playing $10Ks. She's played 67 in total. Yes, 67
$10Ks. She's played them in Spain, Italy, Greece, Morocco, Portugal, Austria, Romania, Belgium, Tunisia, Turkey, France and in South Korea where it all started back in 2009.
So why start a thread for her now? Well she's in Tunisia and Ms. Nancarroui has qualified for a $25K!
It's her third $25K main draw ever.
Good luck Alex! We love* you!
*Well, I do anyway
