Wimbeldon

Who do you think Tennis Australia will give the two wildcards at Wimbeldon to??

there's
Wildcard Main Draw
Wildcard Qualies

I think Sam will get main draw and Dellacqua will get qualies

what do you all think??

that's what i'm hoping. but for all we know sam could into the main draw directly she's already ranked #139.

Go the aussies! stosur!!!
and good luck russians: dementieva, safina, kirilenko, sharapova, kuznetsova, bovina, zvonareva, dushevina.

also good luck to: azarenka, lucic, sprem, vakulenko, vaidisova, safarova, ivanovic, groenefeld, mirza, krajicek, kvitkova, larcher de brito, lisicki.

they are idiots if they give it to anyone else other than because they are the only 2 that deserve it and have the results to back up their claims other than maybee mcsheas good results on the aussie circuit in march

main draw stosur
qualifying dellacqua

but i wouldnt be at all suprised if the wankers at ta give it to szili and hewitt as they have always seemed to have peas for brains

if sam gets in direct then it should be

main draw: dellacqua
qualies: mcshea

Lisa McShea should get WC for the Qualifying

Inspiration is for amateurs

Faves: Mona Barthel / Samantha Stosur / Roberta Vinci

McShea??? Er, why? I dont care if grass is her best surface, she has barely won a match since winning the Aussie satellites against very weak opposition.

Casey Dellacqua and Lauren Breadmore are the two who most deserve the qualy WC. I'm guessing it will go to Casey as she is younger, but Lauren is still a teen and has also improved almost 200 spots this year It will most likely be out of these two girls, but TA seem to love Casey so I'm pretty sure she'll get it.

There is no way Stosur will make the main draw, so she will get the MD WC. You can bank on it.

Even if Evie misses the cut by 1 o 2 spots, I hope they go with Sam and make Evie play qualies, cos she should earn her keep now.

So my picks

MD - Stosur
Qual - Dellacqua (but hope Breadmore)

mmmm it will be interesting if Christina Wheeler continues some good form and wins a rnd or two at the French?? It then makes a bit of a selection dillemma. But I think they'll go with Sam regardless of the outcome.

The best way to solve this is a round robin playoff between Evie, Sam, Christina and maybe Rachel. It's fair, awards the best player for grabbing her chance and gives all 4 some decent practice b4 Wimby starts too.

No choice but Dellacqua for the quallie w/c. Breadmores form on the Aussie grass in March was pretty ordinary. Saved some face with a rnd 2 showing and a good match against Sam at Fukuoka, but it's Casey's.

There's more to life than just being happy.

You guys must be psychic as I was thinking about this very question last night.

First I have to say I hope Evie does not get it. I think her play has been very disappointing in the past few months, she can't even win a round of qualifying so I think the card would be wasted.

I think it comes down to Sam vs Christina. I don't think McShea or McQuillan are in the picture, neither have done anything outstanding, and both are in their twilight years, so think you can be sure they will both be passed over. As someone mentioned Sam is up to 139, if she could get thru qualifying at FO and win a round in the MD, she would be on the cusp of the top 100 and would be the obvious choice. However, Christina should not be discounted, because after her performance the past couple of weeks her ranking has risen dramatically. If she should perform well at the FO, win a round or two she will be in the same position. So I think a lot depends on how they both perform at the FO, because a Wimbeldon WC might give one of them enough momentum to make the MD at the US Open.

Agree that Dellaqua is the obvious choice for the qualifying WC.
