Destanee really looks like a great prospect, 13 years old and she will be into the top 100 of the juniors rank. She has already been signed by Nike, reached R3 of AO this year losing to eventual winner. W/L for the year is 16/2. Career W/L 19/3

Notable wins:
Maddison Inglis (beatdowns)
Nina Stojanovic
Baijing Lin
Katrine Steffensen

IK :sobbing: Or at least play Pro events...
It's a waste of money for her to play these tournaments. She's already beaten all the scrubs she'd like... The smart move would have been to play in Europe with a close second be playing 10Ks in for example Bangkok, then strong AMTs like the 10K Platinum in Gosford and then worse case scenario, more and more ITF G4s...

Completely agree. She IMO is the greatest talent we have had (as a Junior) since I have been following tennis since 2005...
It's a massive waste of money and time. It actually makes her worse.
Are you serious though? Of course she has tonnes of time for tennis but playing G4s is pointless. It is better for her to train. She shouldn't play below G2 any more and if she doesn't wanna play Pros then she should just wait till some G2s come around.
World Junior Teams is always there.
All discussion is good ;)
Destanee really could end the Year in Top 50 if she tried...
Finally moving up from G3s and 4s :cheer: She might challenge Konjuh as being the highest ranked 14 year old  She still has half a year to reach Top 4 :inlove: I really hope she at least plays the 15Ks this year :) Is she allowed to play World Youth and Junior Fed Cup?
I am disappointed she isn't playing the 15Ks...
Not on Toowoomba list...
You have an unhealthy interest in the prospective tournaments of a 14 year old. Too much pushing with this girl and there could be a situation similar to Ash.

The way she's being handled so far.

The fact that she blitzed reigning 18s champion Inglis (twice?) shows that she's at the level, or better, than our top junior girls. That's remarkable really. I'd go so far as to say she can, and probably will, win the 18s champs this year.

So she has no reason to be wasting her time beating up on these poor unsuspecting souls in Grade 4s and 5s. I understand she's very young, but it's not unusual for players this young to do short stints overseas. Get here over there for a spell and see how she matches up against the world's best, not Toowoomba's.
