very surprising, i'm guessing Stubbs was getting sick of Bovina, so she approached Jelena

Good team, btw

I like this team too...something different.

I'm not too surprised though, whatever probs Jelena had with OZ tennis in the past didn't really mean she had soured her relationships with the other girls. She's still friendly with a lot of them.

BTW, Jelena's opponent in this doubles match is another former countrywoman, Evie

Whatever Jelena

Actually TS, Jelena had stopped conversing with all the Aussie players for the last 18 months. It was reported last year when Damir was considering moving to the UK on how Dokic couldnt even look at the Aussie girls in the eye and that she would turn her head the other way if she was walking passed them in a corridor hehe

I think this is extremely out of the blue and very surprising. Im sure Rennae would have approached Jelena. She must have finally plucked up the courage to do so, she probably felt it was a suitable time now with Damir out of the picture.

Speaking of Damir, wonder what he thinks about this!!!!!!! hehehe

Full marks to Stubbsy though, hope she can still lure Jelena home, cos I'd be happy to have her play in the Green and Gold again!

It would be nice but if she decide to represent Australia again and won't she play the country for another three years, no?

Simon I'd take anything Damir said with a grain of salt

Maybe it was Jelena who approached Rennae? Nadia was playing and just got injured.

Add me to the list of those who were surprised at this combo.

We'll see today if Jelena/Rennae can do better than what Jelena/Daniela did at Charleston.
Good luck!

A one off. I guess Rennae was hard up for someone to play with. Doubt they will play again!

Why do you say a one-off Stubbsy71?

Was it cos they lost a match in the Q/F that they shouldnt have?

No, I am saying it because Rennae was obviously desperate for a partner
