This girl deserves a thread after her outstanding win in the WC playoff :hearts:

She was amazing down 4-1. Served many double faults though :help: But I'm becoming a fan of hers :)

She is also the youngest girl in the comp.

I think she'll get one into qualifying at Brisbane. She definitely deserves it.

Yeah that's why I was thinking. Priscilla is the better player, and in better form.

And she's fighting. Was down 41 in 1st set. Down 30 in 2nd, now 32

^ Yes, she got discouraged throughout, but atleast it never really affected her game.

Saw Hon come back from 3-4, to win the first set with some superb play mixed with loose errors. The Russian was just solid but eventually ground Hon down with her consistency and greater strength. Hon has every shot in the book and a very complete player at the age of 14. Can even volley and knows how to really kill a mid court ball. But being so young only time will tell if she becomes a top 100, 50, 20 player. She looks capable, but how she develops over the next 5-7 years is anyone’s guess, going by Australia’s recent strike rate.

There were a flurry of breaks in the 2nd set. Hon got back from 0-3 to 3-4, and looked capable of even winning the match. But dropped serve with some errors to 3-5 and that was the match. I think the mental effort it took to win the first set and climb back into the 2nd took its toll as muich as the physical effort.

Was sitting near Paul Kilderry, I think he is Hon’s manager. At 14 y/o she has a manager… lol…. Obvious TA have a lot of faith in this girl. And from what I saw today she worth the time and investment.
