How bad is Bai going lately...seriously one game against Liv who isn't exactly setting the world on fire....

QF: Sally Peers def. Keren Shlomo 6-0 6-3
QF:Isabella Holland def. Storm Sanders 6-3 6-4

Positive signs that Sally's wins have been increasingly convincing as the tournament has progressed. Interesting match-up with Izzy in the SF.
Good luck in the doubles final Storm.

Re: 2011/12 Aussie ITF circuit

^^
Yes great to see that after a near loss in R1 that Sally has picked it up and had a solid win today, judging by the score. Nice to see Bella get through against a younger Aussie (wouldn't have been a good loss no matter Storm's form).

Here's hoping Isabella can make the final. She used to own Sally in juniors but it's the complete opposite in seniors. Time for Isabella to get one back

Hope Liv joins them in the semis

This is what I want to see leading into the summer from these three girls - consistently!!

Re: 2011/12 Aussie ITF circuit

Good result. She has a title and maybe a couple SF points to defend from memory, so this should set her up well for the rest of the pro tour

I really hope Bella can beat Peers but I don't think she will.

Re: 2011/12 Aussie ITF circuit

Bella got through over Sally 6-3 6-4! Congrats Good to see her turn things around after that disastrous showing in US Open qualies.

Perfect final, these are the two I wanted.

Bella

First win over Sally since the 2008 Oceania Closed Juniors final

I thought the match would have gone three sets, Sally

Re: 2011/12 Aussie ITF circuit

Great result for Liv, would have got her back into/around the top 200 but 50 points are coming off next week (I think?). I can see her making it deep in a majority of the tournaments this year since the lists seem to be a bit weaker.

Issy is having a surprisingly good season. Will be interesting to see how much she has improved come December, good forehand, average serve, solid to weak backhand and poor movement are my recollections of her game. Probably a bit harsh, but if she improves any of that and focusses her game around her forehand she could be a decent player. Only made one good run last year, so good chance for gaining some points as well .

Would have preffered Sally in the final after her fall in the ranking. She only played 2 25k's last year after the US Open, after her some what succesful attempt at playing in Asia. She won't have the benefit of number 1 seeding from now on, so hopefully she is on her game.

Don't really mind who wins the final, but I'll go for Liv because I still believe she has the potential to crack the top 100 fairly soon, where as Issy (if she does) has a lot more work ahead.
