Re: Aussies in WTA events

wow what the hell?

How was Rodionova down 0/6 6/6 against Fuda???

I bet she was going absolutely nuts! But I'm not surprised she was able to turn the match around.

Jarka leads Namigata 7-6(2).
These Japanese girls are tough competitors, particularly in front of their home crowds. Finish it in two Jarka.

Kim Birrell, Sabine Lisicki, Lizette Cabrera, Priscilla Hon

Kristina Mladenovic, Heather Watson, Ana Konjuh, Zoe Hives

Re: Aussies in WTA events

Congrats to Jelena Dokic for qualifying in Paris!

Great to see her in a WTA MD again (on her own merits...)

Re: Aussies in WTA events

I'm so happy she's jumping straight back into the WTA events. Hope she stays un-injured and sticks at it. It seems she builds herself up for the Oz summer so much and then either gets injured or loses interest after it so good signs

Re: Aussies in WTA events

Yeah perhaps she has been putting too much effort into oz sircuit in past years where as this time she said from the outset she wasnt expecting anything until mid year....hopefully she can win a match or two in the main draw and get some form going.

Would be good to see a fit and confident Jelena rock up to IW and Miami!!
