The Road to Wimbledon! AUS/NZ Cheering Thread!

Just like "The Road To Roland Garros", this is a cheering thread for all Aussies and Kiwis on the grass all the way to Wimbledon.

It's looks like we'll have a pretty strong contingent at Wimbledon. In the MD, we have Casey Dellacqua, Anastasia Rodionova and now Sam Stosur via Wildcard, and also Marina Erakovic from across the Tasman.

In the QD we have Jarmila Gajdosova, Alicia Molik, Monique Adamczak and Christina Wheeler. Sophie Ferguson withdrew from Qualifying but Jessica Moore still has a small chance of reaching quallies. Jelena Dokic still has slim hope of a WC, given she asked for one.

Re: The Road to Wimbledon! AUS/NZ Cheering Thread!

I hope I don't jinx them, but I think it could be quite a good tournament for Aussies/Kiwi. Casey Dellacqua, Sam Stosur and Marina Erakovic could all go deep into the draw, and I wouldn't be surprised if either Jarmila or Christina qualifies. Not so sure about Alicia, Monique and that Nasty Rodionova.

Thank you for everything Mercedes, now please be nice to Socrates for me, perhaps fetch him a bird or two. We love you, always.

She has not played a match on grass all season and will have come from playing for several months on clay...
I think you're expectations are too high...

But it's understandable...

My Predictions:
Casey Dellacqua : 3rd Round
Samantha Stosur : 2nd Round
Anastasia Rodionova : 1st Round

Alicia Molik : Q 3rd Round
Jarmila Gajdosova : Qualifies and loses 1st Round
Monique Adamczak : Q 2nd Round
Christina Wheeler : Q 2nd Round
Jessica Moore : Q 2nd Round (if she plays)

What about her? I already knew she withdrew from Q about two weeks ago. Soo.... what are you trying to say?

I think your predictions are pretty good. If Christina plays really well in Q then i expect her to qualify. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions.

I think it will actually be out (for us) Tuesday morning and qualifying starts (for women) Tuesday night
Because the men's draw was released this morning and they start tonight
