Re: Sally Peers

She beat Kichenok too who is a pretty highly rated youngster.... wasn't expecting her to win that on clay pleasantly surprised. Definitely in with a shot against Foretz who has been struggling all year!

Re: Sally Peers

Sally just won her R1 in a French $50K and it may be enough for her to reach #200! Woohoo...

Well done, and nice to see her get a few wins internationally.

Re: Sally Peers

And with a doubles ranking on 94, Sally's a bit of a quiet achiever really. Nice work

This is true.... I'm not sure if she'll ever set the world on fire but she doesn't lose silly matches either. Will be interesting to see how much further she can rise.

Re: Sally Peers

Sal has just beaten Fichman 46 63 62

Top 200 is a lock now.

I honestly never thought she could make the top 200 with her game and size. So, SO happy she has proved me wrong. Just shows you what smart scheduling can do Alot of our other girls could learn a thing or two from Sal.

Hi.

Re: Sally Peers

Woohoo!! Well done Sally! A QF in a French 50K is a nice result too. US Open qualies will be a lock now too, won't they?

We have 8 women in the Top 200 again! (And 3 sitting just outside).

It already was before this week. It's a 128 draw, so usually top 220-230 will get you in.

Re: Sally Peers

Dokic def Peers 6-3 6-4

Sally will be ranked 198 next week. Her ranking may be inflated from those 25K's at the start of the year but it is great to see her break the top 200 on the back of a really strong result this week, getting her first top 150 win and holding her own against a top 120 player.
Playing a 100K in Luxembourg next week.

Samantha Stosur, Daniela Hantuchova, Lucie Safarova

Kim Birrell, Sabine Lisicki, Abbie Myers, Priscilla Hon

Kristina Mladenovic, Heather Watson, Ana Konjuh, Zoe Hives

Re: Sally Peers

Anyone else up watching Sally on live scores? She had break points in the first against Dentoni but now is down 0-2 losing 8 points in a row

Re: Sally Peers

Breaks back for 1-2. I think that both girls will struggle to hold today.
