Re: Alison Bai's Fan Squad!!

As the third seed, Alison disappointingly lost to a Japanese player in the final round of quallies in Kurume, 7-6 2-6 6-2. She seems to have a problem with 3 set matches...

But she got into the main draw as a LL...she plays Ling Zhang first round though, who beat Gajdosova last week

LOL so you bag me out last week for suggesting Alison sucks in close sets, now you join the bandwagon!

Re: Alison Bai's Fan Squad!!

Hopefully she gets through. I've seen her play a bit, she does lack a big weapon which might hinder her more than lack of mental toughness. I still think she's top 150 material.

There's more to life than just being happy.

She lost another 3 setter 6-2 4-6 7-6
Her 3 set record is atrocious

Re: Alison Bai's Fan Squad!!

Alison looks set to continue her rise...now that she is no longer bound by the age eligibility rules, Alison has entered in a number of tournaments in Europe starting in a few weeks' time. She looks like playing in either Spain or Italy...she has even entered in the Palermo WTA Event!
So far this season she has scored 23 WTA Ranking Points from 11 Tournaments. But she will drop in the rankings this week to around 560. By September, I would ideally like to see her in the top 500, or at least the top 550...because she only has 1 point to defend in the second half of the season, I really think she can be top 400/450 by the end of the season

I would like, however, for her to be travelling with Marija or Alenka. Unfortunately it looks like all 3 have gone different ways and it doesn't look like their paths will meet up in Europe...ah well

Good luck
