Re: Jessica Moore

Decent effort from jess, i was there watching. Both players found it hard with the gusty condition, Flavia didn't play thatw ell to start off with, hit a lot of unforced erros and to jess' credit she took it up to her somewhat, but this seemed to be incosisant, a couple points of good agressive deep points and then others she seem content just rally back in the middle, generally hit the ball too short. Didn't play the big points that well either. Her first serve was good enough. I don't know why Flavia didn't try and keep consisant fromt he evrys tart of the match, generally Jess would make the error.

Re: Jessica Moore

I wonder why Jess is playing Burnie, but not Mildura?

Burnie 25k then Pattaya Quallies. After that she will have a week off and probably play Sydney Olympic Park 25k next up

Thanks. If she does well at Burnie, she'll have to miss Pattaya qualies...

Re: Jessica Moore

She shouldn't play Burnie, go prepare in Pattaya.
Seriously with her ranking, she shouldn't be playing anything less than $50K's.

Re: Jessica Moore

She would make quallies for both IF quallies were the same size as Grand Slams, but I'm not sure if it's 128 or 64 player draw.
She mightn't make it if it's the latter.

Re: Jessica Moore

Indian Wells used to be Draw of 32 and Miami Draw of 48, but I'm not sure if it's changed this year

I disagree, she still needs to play a few $25K's and get some more wins to build up her confidence and strengthen her ranking which is basically so low due to 2 results. Also playing the lower grade WTA events is a good idea too.

Agreed Jess needs a well balanced schedule of all level of events except 10's over the next 3-4 months and then re-assess from there!!

Good luck to the West Aussies in 2013!:
Casey Dellacqua Jessica Moore Bojana Bobusic Storm Sanders
as well as Jelena Dokic Sam Stosur Sally Peers Ash Barty Olivia Rogowska Monique Adamczak Sacha Jones Rodionova Sisters Tammi Patterson Vicky Rajicic Azra Hadzic Alison Bai
|
And all the other aussie girls

Re: Jessica Moore

I agree with Ausboy, she needs to focus on confidence and getting points. Her next goal needs to be top 100 and if she needs an example of good scheduling to make this happen, one only needs to look at how Marina Erakovic did it. No point playing higher ranked tourneys and getting flogged, it's about getting those points as cheaply as possible so she can move up the rankings to get into better tournaments without having to go through qualifying.

Re: Jessica Moore

Pretty good draw considering its a main draw WTA event, but she won't beat Silva.
